Ok, cool ... Are the freq compensated line outs usable or just nasty fuzz? My unit will probably arrive in like 1-1,5 hours .. Can't wait to get home..
I would say the freq compensated outs are good for nothing . I really have to test if there is some use to them (just for curiosity)..
Didn't have much time to try it out yesterday (band practice and stuff) so this is what I recorded (both clips recorded at the same time): Internal cab simulation: http://www.ake.nu/~oak/ENGL530/ENGLTest-CabSim.mp3 Line out -> DAW -> Guitarhack impulse (sneap-something i think) http://www.ake.nu/~oak/ENGL530/ENGLTest.mp3 I think the cab sim is usable for monitoring while recording... Impulses work a lot better though. Oh and btw, the usual disclaimer about sloppy playing and being tired apply here ;-)
Our guitar player managed to get an E530 from ebay. But it`s from overseas and can take a few weeks. I`m looking forward to try the thing out in different ways with micing, impulses etc. Most here seem to go with impulses, does anybody know how it sounds with a good power amp and cab ?(he uses a Jackson Rhoads with EMG81, Reussenzehn Guitar Slave and a 1960A)
