I'm looking for any death metal that's epic. It doesn't have to be strictly death metal, just extreme(but I'm not looking for symphonic BM)

Why would we give you symphonic black metal if you asked for death?

    Anyway...

Amon Amarth, maybe? Also older Amorphis.

Doesn't get much more epic than the Eastern Front.

Epic is kind of a vague term. Could you give any death metal bands/albums you consider epic as reference?

Not completely death metal, but I'd also suggest Deströyer 666.

thanks for the recs so far
I was intentionally vague with "epic" because I want some new sounds-stuff like Nile, Amon Amarth, Vital Remains are all epic in very different ways.
So far, I'm really digging Mithras.

Guys, Ator is my buddy and for purposes of recs you can assume he's familiar with more or less every band I am, so stuff like Nile, Amon Amarth, Behemoth, etc won't do it.

Bolt Thrower is a good rec, btw. I told you to check 'em out, man.

If you're into the really extreme shit, check out Cannibal Corpse.

Also, I'd recommend Lamb of God and Kreator.
