I am pleased and honoured to announce that I have joined the ESP Guitars family as an endorsee. As most of you know, for the last 16 years, I've played an amazing custom guitar that was hand-built to my exact specs by Greg Fryer. This guitar has gone with me around the world several times, around Australia countless times and has been played to death in the studio on literally hundreds of recordings. But due to the wear and tear on the proprietary hardware (some of it impossible to get since the companies that made it 16 years ago are now out of business), and due to Greg no longer making custom guitars, it would have worked out to be a very expensive and time consuming process to repair and replace the parts of the guitar that were failing. I decided it was finally time to lay the beast to rest. It's been no secret at all that I'm a big fan of ESP Guitars. For many years, my band mates in both Dungeon and LORD have used ESP and I've been raving about them to everyone who will listen, despite not actually even playing them. If it wasn't for my custom guitar, I would have been playing ESP years ago. For me to say that I believe they are the best guitars in the world today is more than marketing hype when you put it into that kind of perspective. The upcoming Saxon tour will be the last time I will be using my Hybrid IV guitar. I then take posession of my shiny new ESP M-II guitar which is being customised to my playing style as we speak by the good folks at bMusic. I would like to say a huge thank you to Ando from CMI and Shane from bMusic for their amazing support and willingness to take me on board as an endorsee of ESP. And there you have it! All of us in LORD are now proudly using ESP. Exciting times ahead!
