Cat's kinda old, twelve or thirteen, I'm assuming twelve. Had her since I was four; raised her from a kitten as well.

I'm stuck in the friend-zone with a female I'm very much attracted to, more mentally than physically. Or at least I'm sure I'm stuck in the friend-zone.

Also Hell's Kitchen isn't released till sometime in 2008. Damn you, Steve Alten.

Dude, just make a move, and tell her how you feel.

Very funny. Obviously you didn't read the part where I said I was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans.

I'm working again and the hours blow. Really hard. Barely have time to myself between dealing with employee problems and other shit. And its the kinda job that intrudes into your off hours.

Had some chick problems a bit ago, though ended that with my crazy depressive anger... essentially I told her to fuck off.

Otherwise, friends are non-existent. Probably more of my fault since I am slowly and surely turning into a very limited social person. Socializing just isn't my thing anymore. I have no trust in anyone around me and get very uncomfortable around anyone with even the slightest off thing. I'll go out to concerts and talk to a few people, but thats about it.

My dog is having some weird problems as well... I honestly think my sister did something to her since every time I try to go near her over the last few days she just snaps and barks at me.

So yeah, not doing too well lately, but hey, shit happens then ya die.

It may be best to call the cops. If only to give you peace of mind knowing the cops are looking for him. I know it'd make me feel better.

They definitely have better things to do than follow vague tips.

I know you aren't old enough but CCW's are cool things. I'm probably gonna get mine but really only carry when I'm in the city. I don't trust that city. Something about that one in particular (SF) that I feel like I have to constantly look over my shoulder while I'm down there. At least at night anyway.

You could maybe get some friends and go with them back to the general area where that occurred, as it's quite possible that he frequents that area, have you stay out of view and have your friends "handle" the guy.

The city isn't too bad. Shit like that could happen anywhere.

I'm probably going to look into some pepper spray. And the area was a block away from my house and I'd never seen him before. He was most likely just walking through.

If mace doesn't work out, carry a knife and shank him in the balls next time you see him. Dude probably doesn't need to be reproducing anyway.

That's kind of the fucked part, since it was so close to your house.
I mean say that scenario happened and you did have some mace. You mace the dude, it's possible he could see you run directly to your house. Fuck all that.
It's really hard to say what to do in that sort of situation.

Maybe carry a knife. I always have one on me, but for a tool. Obviously it could be used as a weapon too. Just don't carry a butterfly knife or anything like that, as even if you were defending yourself and stabbed someone with that you'd be charged/get fucked in court simply because of the knife. I've read cases like that. In order for you to get any leverage in a case like that the knife has to be "biased towards closure" (meaning that it "wants" to go to the close position as it's nearing the close position) and be able to lock when it opens and you have to unlock it from the open position to close it. 99% of knives on the market are like that anyway so it's no big deal. But what would his case be anyway? I tried to sexually assault a random girl so she maced or stabbed me or something? Although this is California. Chances are you'd be told you needed to just sit there, take it, and report to the cops, and that you were unjust in defending yourself

That's another issue entirely though. Sorry to hear that happened. It could've been worse. Which is the good thing and simultaneously frightening/prophetic as well. I think you're on the right track to pro-actively defending yourself though. In that scenario no one is on your side but you. Strangers will walk by and ignore this happening right in front of them, and as you said as well, the cop idea is laughable at best.

It was around the corner, so I definitely wouldn't have let him see where my house was.

And what if I pull a knife and then the other person also has a knife? I don't think I'd do too well in a knife fight.
