Gary posted this on the Tales From The Pit board.... why o why did they decide to do this show on a Thursday?? It should be a good show....
AAAAAHHH THAT SETLIST ROCKS!! BLEARGH SHIT KILL RAPE FUCKFACE ARGH SATAN SQUIRREL MOLESTATION FUCK!! 'Kay, I'm calm now.
It's good isn't it My favorite exodus track is on there too! Fabulous Disaster!!!! I just love that chorus...!!!
DE and somebody else who talked to Zetro said that Exo would be playing a song off Force of Habit that was on the japanese import and never before played live. That song is not mentioned in the setlist Gary posted to the TFTP board...so,what's the deal...Are we talking about 2 different shows??? BTW, I'll seriously PAY top dollar (within logical reason) for a quality bootleg audio OR video of this show since I can't make it out to SF. I'm as serious as cancer about this. 6 songs from Bonded By Blood 3 songs from Pleasures Of The Flesh 2 songs from Fabulous Disaster 1 song from Impact is Imminent 10 songs from Tempo Of the Damned NO songs from Force of Habit! Daaa-aannngg. Oh well. It's still a VERY kick arse setlist. I *SO* wish I could be there. sob.
KILLER setlist! Toxic Waltz is also one of my favourite song! Hell, even the solo is moshable! Did you guys see the dna exodus flyers? They're pretty cool! Anywho DNA launge = 21+, so theres no point for me to get all that excited.
no exodus attack?!! dangit, my favorite track isn't there. pretty good though, piranha! what about metal command?
I'm a HUGE Exodus fan and have been for 16 years so I'm not trash talking when I say that Toxic Waltz is not one of my favorites and I don't think it's really that good but the solo does shred. However, the video for Toxic Waltz is very fucking cool. Fabulous Disaster has so many better songs on it which IMO Exodus should play but Exo is making a comeback in a major way and they need to play some staples, I understand that, and they can't play for 3 hours although I certainly wouldnt bitch if they did. When Exodus gets done touring for TOTD, they will once again be one of the biggest bands in all of Heavy Metal....which is how it belongs.
You forgot Fabulous Disaster, Last Act of Defiance and Like Father..Like Son! I love Force of Habit...such as When it rains it pours, it's a good day to die and my uber favorite Architect of Pain! I remember when so many bands got political back in the day, it made for some good stuff. I don't mind it...the better political stuff I like.... such as "Scar Spangled Banner" and "War is My Shepherd"....I really liked seeing Gary Holt's political perspective...that piece lifted off their board and put up on blabbermouth. You fight for democracy and the "American Way" But you're not in your country "What am I doing here?" you say But now it's too late...you're entering Managua If you had brought your surfboard You could surf Nicaragua
Well the set list I have has 22 songs, I talked to Zetro today, & I'll be going to a few practices next week..........to take notes:Spin:
"Toxic Waltz" isn't a great song, but it's a fun song...the kind of song that is written with a live environment in mind. "Fabulous Disaster" and "Like Father, Like Son" rule hard, but an Exodus show just wouldn't be complete without the Waltz. Exodus has very good political lyrics, not like that fucking gorilla-babbling moron Chris Barnes. "Amerika the Brutal" makes me embarassed to be a left-wing metalhead.
You are absolutely right about Waltz and that, as you so, appropriately described him, gorilla-babbling moron Chris Barnes. "Amerika The Brutal" was trash. The libs should be offended by that shite.
I am, I AM. I had to listen to "Disposable Heroes" six times in a row to clean my ears out. Man, Vehemence almost toured with Six Feet Under. That would have been fucking depressing to see such a great band opening for The Moronic Monkey Musical Mayhem Show.
