    Both have elements of Melodic Death Metal and Power Metal. But who does it better. Will it be Scar Symmetry from Sweden? Or will it be Mercenary from Denmark?

    had to go with scar symmetry, at least for their first 2 albums, the rest of their stuff is kinda shitty though :(

    Not familiar with Mercenary, but couldn't stand Scar Symmetry the 2 times I've seen them. So no vote.

    Scar Symmetry easily, Holographic Universe was a perfect album.
    Mercenary sound too power metal for me and sound like they belong on Eurovision.

    when I saw them open for Katatonia in 2007 I thought they were pretty bad but they managed to get worse when I saw them open for Hypocrisy in May
