doom over the world is pretty much the perfect opening doom song, even if the first three tracks on crush the insects arent really telling of the rest of the album. odens ride over nordland going into a fine day to die on BFD really psychs me up for that monumental crushing during the rest of the album. ascension's "open hearts", primordial's "the heretics age" and technically it's not the intro, but summoning's "south away" are also some of my favorites
Hell yes I am! Ash pool, Vatican Shadow, and Prurient are fucking amazing. I'm still quite new to his other stuff like Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, but I like what I've heard. Recently started listening to Richard Dunn's FFH and have enjoyed that as well. Kinda reminds me of MZ.412. EDIT: saw you listed Ascension's "open hearts" Have you heard their latest release??

I managed to track down all of the RSE stuff and now that's probably my favorite of his projects. give christian cosmos a listen for sure that's a lesser known but really good project of his. FHH rules, although im actually not familiar with mz.412 and yes. i haven't been seeing it get much love elsewhere(no idea about this forum) but fuck i thought the dead of the world was really good. it's got a slower bordering on doomy feel at times, and overall is just good at offering something different than consolamentum, while cementing the band as having their own unique style now.
