I'm not picky on metal as long as the song have some catch, vibe and energy and the vocals are clean. So you won't see me running around death, black, glam, stoner or certain variations of doom (sludge, funeral, drone, etc.) Most probably, accursed revisionism
Yeah i just got into The Sword. Gates Of Slumber, Bible Of The Devil, Bulletwolf, The Cocaine Wolves.
Oh why don't you just say it's also called "classic" metal and not write a novel... It's already happened my friend... just go to the GMD forum... the intellectual elite there do not consider anything before the 80's as metal with the exception of Sabbath as metal and the zombies who follow them just repeat the same words... hell, they didnt live through the 80's and do not consider some of the bands then as metal though most of us metalheads then and now do... who you kidding? you are very picky and do not like good or real metal.... your close minded in that regards unlike me Worship Lars before i Chia Pet you >>> :Smokedev:
From Great Britain ( definitely Heavy Metal Kingdome ): Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Saxon, Battleaxe, Tank, Satan, Jaguar, Blade Runner, Witchfynde, Blitzkrieg, Raven, Holocaust. From Germany: Accept, Steeler, Grave Digger, Railway From Belgium: Killer From France: H-BOMB, Vulcain, Killers From Spain: Baron Rojo From Sweden: Heavy Load From Denmark: Mercyful Fate From Poland: Turbo, early KAT, VooDoo, Open Fire From Czech Republic: Citron From Hungary: Pokolgep From Russia: Aria From Japan: Loudness From USA: Manowar ( its probaly the one and only Heavy Metal band in USA, because USA practically didn't have any traditional heavy metal bands )
I'd have to disagree. Look at the Metal Massacre compilations from the 80s - the US had tons of trad metal bands!
Great to see someone else in here who love metal in other languages. I will add to your list, France: Sortilege, High Power, ADX, Blaspheme Spain: Panzer, Obus. Denmark: Witch Cross Argentina: V8 Hungary: Ossian Canada: Witchkiller, Wicked Angel, Sword Belgium: Ostrogoth, Acid Australia: Pegazus I think there are newer bands that play with the spirit of 80's metal, which is many times associated with traditional. Majesty (Germany) Crystal Viper (Poland) Wolf (Sweden) Air Raid (Sweden) Enforcer (Sweden) Sister Sin (Sweden)Striker (Canada) Betrayer (Canada) High Spirits (USA) White Wizzard (USA) Icarus Witch (USA) Miles Beyond (USA) Natur (USA) Reverence (USA) Bakken (Ireland) Neuronspoiler (England) Black Steel (Australia) Diphtheria (Cyprus) Metalucifer (Japan) Hellhound (Japan) Mesmerize (Italy) Obstruction (Hungary) Final Stage (Canada) Stimulans (Croatia) Viron (Germany) sadly disbanded now. Warlord, Omen, Armored Saint, Griffin, Hawk, Gargoyle, Culprit, Liege Lord, Manilla Road.
In fact, Manilla Road, Warlord, Armored Saint and Culprit is indeed traditional heavy metal, but Omen, Griffin and Gargoyle is more power metal, like Helstar. Hawk....unfortunately with keybords. Liege Lord is power/speed metal. I know also Avalanche, Demon Flight and Pandemonium. Its really good bands, I admit that I was wrong, but its not tons of bands. I associate 80's US metal scene especially with thrash metal bands. In the case of traditional heavy metal bands, England, France, Germany and several onther western European countries had significantly more bands. But in fact - USA had good heavy metal bands. I must get first Pandemonium LP.
