This poll is for favorite subenres of heavy metal.
Well.. There's no poll..
Now there is...I was working on it.
I just listed example bands beside each subgenre(sorry, that was kind of pointless.)
I did it just to provide some definition.
Trad/heavy. I'm lumping NWOBHM into that. Thrash metal is a very close second, and for both sub-genres I lean towards the progressive side of things.
There we go, Death Metal.
I voted for heavy metal(Traditional), hair metal, and thrash metal.
Bathory isn't a great choice as a defintion of black metal, since most their albums aren't black metal. Anyhow, black metal is the best.
Black metal all day and night.
The intersection of black/folk/post metal. For the poll I chose trad heavy metal though.
Doom is the most consistently good. *shrug*
Went for doom/stoner/sludge as it's what I've been listening to most lately.
Since I could vote for more than one, I voted for Thrash, Doom, Death, and Traditional.
If I was supposed to vote for only one, then a mod can change it to Thrash.
Topic has been done too many times, but anyway, yes, it is BLACK METAL Hail Satan, fuck a goat, drink some blood, etc etc.... Death Metal is for kids who like looking at blood rather than drinking it, Thrash is for kids who haven't discovered blast beats yet, Doom is for stoner kids that care more about plants than music, and Traditional is for people who are 80+ years old....
Your parents should have drowned you in your own feces as soon as you started shitting out the first end.
Voted for traditional and doom.
I also really like shitty black/thrash black/deathwarshit and slam more than anyone should.
Blastbeats are worthless. Everyone knows this.
only doom and black are real. and sometimes black doom
not trying to be a dick, but these categories/examples aren't the best...
would prob vote for Viking/folk if it were listed here. Voted for power metal instead. I dunno... don't think I really have a favorite genre. And many of my favorite bands don't really fall into a particular category anyway.
