god! this needs to get a revival. Ron Rinehart (Dark Angel) Kyle Thomas (Exhorder) Bobby Blitz (Overkill) Ozzy (Black Sabbath) Rob Halford (Judas Priest) Karl Agell (C.O.C) Tom Araya (Slayer) Scott Weinrich (Saint Vitus) just to name a few, that's my recent favorites.
Bobby Blitz King Diamond Joey Belladona Tim "Ripper" Owens Rob Halford Bruce Dickinson Hansi Kursch - Blind Guardian
James Hetfield - Metallica Phil Anselmo - Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual Dax Riggs - Acid Bath Matt Drake - Evile (has anyone ever heard of them?) King Diamond - Mercyful Fate, King Diamond Corey Taylor (fuck you, I like him) - Slipknot, Stone Sour Dio - Dio, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell Serj Tankian - System of a Down Jens Kidman - Meshuggah Corpsegrinder - Cannibal Corpse Dallas Toller-Wade - Nile Chuck Schuldiner - Death
Sy Keeler still Also, Devin muthafuckin' Townsend. There're a shitload to be fair, it's harder to pinpoint great singers than it is to do the same with guitarists or whatnot.
He sounds so great on the new one! Can't believe the dude is 50 and still sounds so damn good! Joey Belladonna Matt Drake Phil Anselmo Philly Byrne Too tired to think of more
Rob Halford that's it I mean come on you can't even touch that with a stick or maybe you can hehehehhehe get it
Philly is definitely a worthwhile mention. He has an excellent style, certainly one of the more unique vocalists in recent years - Gama Bomb would only be half as good if he wasn't their singer.
Damn it, I forgot Cedric from The Mars Volta. That guy is amazing. Still, I would place Daniel Gildenlow above them all, he is just that awesome.
Dragged this thread up from the dead to say this... John Kevill. If I was to form a death / thrash superground - he'd be my vocalist. Fucking spitefully wild, man.
I know but the forum is so dead I didn't think it'd really matter. Someone start a new music related thread already...
