    Thread resurrect!

I've never listened to Xandria previously, but their latest landed in my review queue and I was pleasantly surprised. Anyone missing the old Nightwish sound ought to love this one.

    this! :D

I'm really looking forward to the debut album from Huntress. Total NWOBHM feel to this song. Jill Janus has an amazing four octave range and it doesn't hurt that she's a former playboy model

This the singer's side band Chelsea Girls, they are an all girl cover band that is popular on the Sunset Strip. Check out her vocals on this! :OMG:

Oh my goodness bro Pat, where do I start to tell you how many great ffm bands are out there? I for one am glad that metal is not a sausage fest anymore. And now I am waiting for the day when a band is looked at on music quality alone and not the gender of its members. :)

That's admirable and all, but if FFM is your main focus/obsession/what have you, aren't you doing exactly that - looking at gender first and foremost?

I think many are looked on for music quality alone, the ones that are just showponies don't last very long in this industry, record companies and promoters don't like to showcase crap bands, it makes them look bad.
