Does anyone know of any? I've searched google and I can't exactly find any.
I've downloaded a few installers that I*thought*were 64 bit only to have them install in the (x86) section.
Any help in this area fellers?

    EDIT: Windows 8.1

The app can be coded in x86 for x64. It will install in the x86 folder, but will be for x64 OSs.
    Get AVG

I was under the impression that a 32bit AV wouldn't be able to scan a 64bit registry. Am I mistaken?

AVG seems good if you're on Android.

For win just get MSE. It'll adapt to your system.

Avira is pretty reliable. That and CCleaner ran weekly should do you just fine.

Yesterday I got my first virus in Windows 7 ever. I've never cared about anti-virus

My CPU was running at 60% idle.

It was because I downloaded and old PC game that had bad files in it.

I downloaded Microsoft Security Essentials, it took like 2 hours to finish and found 3 files in the game's folder but it didn't fix the problem.

Then I downloaded AVG and it found the bad service in literally 1 second without scanning the whole disks and fixed the problem.

And later I uninstalled it lol

^ you should run Malwarebyte's Anti Malware, doing a deep scan of your whole computer. I'm sure you will have a little surprise :D

On windows I trust the good old Avira / CCleaner / Malwarebyte's / Auslogics diskdefrag if needed (and all their line really, light fast and efficient products)
