Here is a 12 strings bass!
That's call guitarist envy.
I'll see your 12 string, and raise you a 23 string!
hehe the thread title is highly provocative but with awesome content! i love extended range instruments (especially basses) and one day i am going to build my self one of this monsters
That's called a "piano "
I'd love to hear clips of that playing a 1-note crabcore breakdown.
Somehow this pic looks so shopped
Look at the right part of the bridge... strange
look at the fretboart
THAT's like on a whole new dimension!
that's one of pat methenys guitars, you can find videos of him playing that thing on youtube.
5 is already one string too many, and now this!!??
How so? I play a 6 string fretless bass, and I find myself using all the strings but the highest (tuned to AEADGC) pretty frequently. I could definitely do without the extra high string, and I wouldn't mind going even a string LOWER. If guitars keep getting lower and lower, what do you expect us (bassists) to do?
its not only about fallowing the down tuned, guitars there people out there that enjoy the wide range that such instruments have to offer, they find MANY creative ways use to it.
"5 is already one string too many" is very narrow minded claim. let me guess, you find 6 guitar strings also to much to handle....
Don't take me too seriously . I look forward to your 6 string fretless bass and andalucian nose flute jazz odyssey. maybe James Labrie will sing for you.
6 string guitars are just fine
Its like a stringed tesseract or something
Have you been taking the same thing as Marcus?
^ nah man
Marcus is hardening
I'm already there
