$100 for a PS2 game...? That's fucking retarded I say. Where do you live? Not the US right? I don't even like paying $20 for a game...
Hilarious game. It didn't come as much of a surprise to me that the guy behind the writing on Portal was also the co-writer on Psychonauts. Easily one of the best ending credits' songs ever.
^Did you find at certain times Legendary didn't seem that much harder than Heroic or even normal? I am sure for me it had to do with just getting better, but I swear I had a harder time with certain areas when I went through on Normal and Heroic. One thing I did on Legendary is read a bit of the strategy guide and kept a Marine with a rocket launcher alive and with me through part of The Ark. I had him going into that part with the Wraith, and the anti-Air Wraiths, just past that cave. That made it much easier. I still get owned on multi-player.
Well Halo is like my best game, so I didn't find legendary that hard. Lately I've been dominating multi player.

Just finished Half Life 2 this afternoon. Quite a fun and incredible game but I don't think it is like the God of FPS (as some people say). That cliffhanger ending was also pretty huge. Now to play through episode one and two.
I agree - Half Life 2 was pretty drat good, but nowhere near the best game of all time for me. Then again, it may be a totally different experience (aesthetically) with everything cranked to the max... something I cannot experience with my current graphics card
I play Battlefield 2, 2142 and sometimes Far Cry. I have some other games like Call Of Duty 1 and some of the C&C series. Really could do with some more games. Then again, I'm bad enough at getting my work done as it is.
I feel that way about every game Valve has ever released. They're all good games but I really don't see where the ridiculous hype and hyperbole around their products comes from. Half-Life 2 was good but by no means incredible. It has an amazing setting and atmosphere, but they completely dropped the ball on the actual story by again pretty much just not having any (like HL1) and a lot of the combat in the game really is just plain not fun (mainly because half the enemies in the game are just tedious, like the flying saw things, and 3 varieties of headcrabs). The vehicle sections were also mostly pretty dull.
the best game ive ever played hands down is final fantasy tactics, for the ps1, anyone else played it? its just a great game, amazing gameplay, unlimited customizable characters, crazy story. amazing.
Great game, although it was weird how the hardest part was toward the middle of the game and it got easy towards the end.
Final Fantasy Tactics was the only game I bought and sold five times in a row. When I didn't have enough money, I would sell it to gamestop - when I would make bank, it went right back into my collection; I love that game with all my heart.
