Sacrifice is a wacky hybrid of fantasy-themed 3rd person action and real time strategy( with role-playing elements all mixed in an original and intriguing way.Features a great storyline and superb voice acting/sound Basically, it's potentially infinitely replayable. The game mechanics are an acquired taste but they are brilliantly realised once you get into it.A very immersive game but definitely not for everyone. You play a wizard who can choose to allign himself with either of the 5 Gods who rule the game world. Each one has his own character and gives you access to unique spells and creatures, with which you battle the other gods and their disciples(other wizards) You can choose to betray the God you're serving at almost any time, even in mid-mission and join the opposing side, which makes it a lot more dynamic than other RTS(I can't even call it an RTS because it just doesn't play like an ordinary real time strategy).I'm not even a big RTS fan, but this game was sufficiently unique to catch my interest. Anyway, read up on it in Gamespot, if you're interested their description is much better:

Honestly the only games I play much anymore are flash games on sites like Miniclip, I'll usually get into maybe like 4-5 console games a year, I'm not really a gaming nerd - I just find him absolutely hilarious.

Not my fault I don't buy into the "jock-centric" games.

If you knew anything about football, you would be able to appreciate the depth and complexity of NCAA Football games

shit what's better than trying to determine the best play against a 3-3-5 cover 3 zone OLB blitz with the corners pressing?

Coming out in Shotgun 4 WR inside slants/outside fade routes with a side of RB flat, I hit you off with options and you take the bait!

    WHAT!? Football. Amazing. :danceboy: Endzone.

that might be a good play

you bring in the outer wide receivers into the middle with the inner slant (he'll be jammed distracting the CB, the slot receivers both go deep with the fade leaving the CB exposed)

the RB flat might be useless though because with a 3-3-5 OLB blitz, you are going to have 4-5 guys blitzing, and you don't want it to be 1-1 with the D linemen + LB vs offensive lineman.

a more effective play would be to have the outer WR on the right go deep (to distract 1 of the deep 3 defensive backs), motion the slot RB deep more towards the middle of the field (to distract the deep safety playing the middle). You put the RB to block for some support. And then whe you do the inner/outer with the 2 wide receivers on the left, you can throw the fade as the slot WR will be left wide open on an insland with the deep safety playing the deep left.

These types of plays often times don't work though in NCAA simply because you don't have enough time to throw the ball.

Against a great defense, you'll have 2 DE + DT rushing, and then 2 LBs both of which are probably going to be 80 - 85 speed.

the best play against any sort of a press is generally the Play action over the top.

I love Age of Empires.... and that's pretty much it.

I like to watch first person shooter WWII games... they intrigue me. My brother often plays them and I basically back-seat play the game -- I tell him how it was done in real life and try to get him to be authentic. :p

Games are not this cut and dry anymore. I would say games are art but, just like various other mediums in their infancy (i.e. Film), this won't be respected for awhile.
