    I've got a baritone (not a Gibson however) and had good luck with the Duncan JB, and the Duncan EMTY if you're looking at going the active route. The JB was pretty clear sounding and tight tuned to B standard.

    Forgot he said that he was looking at passives. I totally agree with you about the JB. Great pickup for baritones.

    another good choice for sparkle and body is the dimarzio illuminator, the latest john petrucci one
