...what are you smoking?
That sounds very much like horseshit to me.
Then again, I don't do acid and then consider it to be a valid way of gathering information about the universe - I just study physics and cosmology obsessively, so what do I know?
Physics and cosmology, presumably.
It's really not horseshit. If you study Physics obsessively, then you may or may not have dabbled with Quantum Physics... and if you have, you'd know at least a little bit about the true fabric of our reality, and that it's not largely based on our conditioned perception of it. Many 18th century laws of physics are currently being thrown out the window as a result of recent discoveries in Quantum Physics. But, what I mentioned previously in this post has more to do with simple astrological observations and the facts that are derived from them. Combine that with a deeper understanding of cosmological phenomena, as well as a loose knowledge of metaphysics (which is quickly turning into a science via Quantum Physics anyway) and it makes sense. It's not some crazy sci-fi shit, it's actually a simple concept. Other bits of evidence concerning this 'change' are the subtle development of an atmosphere on Mars as well as our Moon, the extreme illumination of the bodies in our solar system (something like 5 to 7 times more luminous than they've ever been according to recorded observation), the Ion beam connecting Jupiter to one of it's moons (hmmm, I can't remember which one, maybe Io or Europa), the recently extreme conditions of the sun's magnetic activity, and here on Earth, the growth in number of natural disasters. These things have little significance unless you take into consideration everything else I mentioned. It's not a matter of catastrophobia, because it's not necessarily a bad thing. But the fact is that humans are not only capable of far more than most people are lead to believe, but they essentially ARE much more than what most people think. This doesn't have to do with religion, either... seeing as how religion is simply a way that humans have tried to maintain some sort of connection to their true spiritual nature even though the only thing they were going on was an inkling, which is why most people went way too far off into the wrong deep end. But this is about true reality, something beyond what we assume to be the limitations of our experience. After all, science has offered us amazing discoveries thus far, a lot of which were seen as ludicrous ideas until evidently proven in a generally understandable way. The applied knowledge gained from Quantum Physics, and likewise, ancient mystic teachings are curiously practical and potentially revolutionary to most people, but it's simply not possible to put into accessibly understandable terms. Therefore, someone like me comes off as a douche bag at first. And for the record, I've never done Acid, but I definitely would like to... I just can't get over the fact that it sits at the base of your spine. How crazy would it be to fall the wrong way, crack your back, and start talking to the chair you were sitting in? I think that would be sweet. Oh well.
and Derek, nice quote in your sig.
Way too long to read.
Your new avatar is amazing. <3 Firefly.
You're a lazy bastard. His post was full of amazingly interesting concepts.
Seemed boring to me.
I guess weed stregthens your attention span.
You obviously have a direct connection to the Wyrd.
Another crazy metaphysical nutjob.
Many laws? Like the ones that are valid under the vast majority of circumstances and only need minor corrections at high energies and small masses (Maxwell's laws and Newtonian mechanics, which aren't quite 18th century but whatever), and that were actually corrected decades ago?
Metaphysics is becoming science via quantum physics? Care to define your terms and explain how?
Astrology and facts? Are you fucking serious?
You aren't coming across as a douche bag. You're coming across as someone who should learn how to use paragraphs to separate ideas. You're coming across as someone who needs to cite sources and give examples instead of throwing big words around because it just sounds like you're talking out of your ass. You don't need to talk down to me with this stuff, I practically live in the university's physics and math offices. I bum cigarettes off of the kind of physicists and cosmologists who you're going to be misquoting if you ever get around to actually explaining yourself. I'm also far from the only one around here who knows his shit. Start talking real science or you're just going to get laughed at.
