Directions: Rank Sepultura's 15 albums plus the Bestial Devastation EP, and number each album 1-16. Ties are OK. Your first place album earns 16 points, your second place album earns 15 points, etc.

    Rules:
    • You may rank as few as 8 albums. Lists with less than 8 albums will not be counted.
    • If you list less than 16 albums, the first placed album will still get 16 points, the last placed album will still get 1 point, and the albums in between will have points distributed proportionately. The average points earned for albums that are not listed will not be impacted positively or negatively, so if you don't rank an album, you neither help it or hurt it.
    • If you don't number your list then it will be assumed that it is in ranked order
At the end, the albums will be ranked based on their average number of points per vote.

You have until Friday, October 23rd at 5:00 PM PST to finalize your list, re-familiarize yourself albums you haven’t heard in awhile, familiarize yourself with albums you haven’t heard at all, lobby for any albums you think are underrated, and lobby against any albums you think are overrated.

    Morbid Visions (1986)
    Schizophrenia (1987)
    Beneath the Remains (1989)
    Bestial Devastation EP (1990)
    Arise (1991)
    Chaos A.D. (1993)

In the vote thread 3 people thought Bestial Devastation should be included here, so it's one of the splits/EPs seminal enough to throw in the mix.

    In order:

    Beneath the Remains (1989)

    Dante XXI (2006)
    A-Lex (2009)
    Nation (2001)
    Roorback (2003)

Sepultura is a band that won't reach their past level. Kisser forgot how to riff and Green is a mediocre vocalist.

Exact reason I never wanted to do this band’s discography.

Added it. For those who already voted, you can add it if you want, but if you don't you all hit the minimum so that's fine too. @Allfader @J. @Slammed

Yeah not worried about adding it myself.
What's the next band we're doing?
(I know it will be a let down reviewing any other band after listening to the last 17 odd years of Sepultura but we have to move on!)

Well, my list could've gone worse considering my taste sometimes. The production of Schizophrenia is a hurdle for me. There's an unofficial remaster of it on YouTube worth mentioning. Maybe I'll go for that in the future.

Quadra is on a different level from the rest of that poo smear imo. I was curious when I saw it getting positive reviews and it delivered I think. Pretty listenable for them.

Yeah I agree, Quadra is their shining light for the last decade and a half, it's still not shining bright, but there is a glimmer.
