I've seen them live before Machine Head in 2004, already was impressed by them back then. Really a nice band, I enjoyed Earthsblood, hopefully this upcoming one can measure up to it.

    Corey let himself go tho...

Nice. Quite like their last record, and that was a nifty studio diary. Looks like a great place to track. Hope you're having a blast, Mark.

    Héhé.

I love Earthblood and Consitution Of Treason was great, but my favs are Gone Forever and Determination, both the songwriting and production are amazing on those 2 ! And they have some of my favs rythm guitar tones for metal on those 2 albums.

    +1

Gone Forever is my favorite 5150 tone I've ever heard.

Gone Forever is my favorite tone i've ever heard :)

The closest i've heard was on the TRIALS preproductions, which were 5150 too. I think you can get in the same ballpark with other amps (i'm not too far with my Engl for instance) if you have the right approach.

I totally agree. Gone forever guitar tone was too good, although, I thought it was a 5150 II

The videos are cool but man, the new song they released is just fucking awful. They used to be a pretty cool and relatively unique melodic metalcore band. Now it just sounds like uninspired semi-djenty crap.

i feel you on the djent thing, but i actually had a similar feel when i discovered earthsblood (being fan of the old metalcore days, and discovering this detuned djent meets opeth kinda thing) and then the songwriting took me over

i'm sure there is gonna be a big djent influence on this, this won't be surprising considering the guys' tastes in music, and i don't like djent for the most part, BUT once again those guys can write great songs so i wanna hear the whole thing now

I used to have a Neotek Elite II mixing console just like that and miss it. It had amazing low end response in the EQ section.
