    hey dudes,

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0ykbQc7GLc&lc=spEhk6Ds2AAYGW4pkN9n8GsxXrlLCy1JnbBaCN4CBkY[/ame] i really dig ola englunds tone, can anyone help me trying to achieve it the best possible? he uses a 7 string guitar.. i got a 7 string guitar too and an engl e530 and a tube screamer. to get a tone like that you should eq more and less how?

its obvious that it will never be the same thing, but as i dont know much about amps and getting tones i have no idea where to start to achieve something like that.

    thank you in advance! ;)

^Just set out to make a kickass tone, don't go for someone elses tone.

He has a video on how to mix both metal guitar and bass (bass har a lot to say with the mix).

Also don't suck at playing. A tight recording will always sounds a hundred times better than a sloppy one.

That Edwards is a fine instrument. Although I used my Epiphone LP and Hello Kitty Strat to record that

So I'm kind of a gear dork, more so then just guitar stuff so I made this video describing our in-ear setup.

TheWeightCompanyCubes custom gp1000 made an appearance in it as well!

Me sucking at guitar and stuff. I'm new to recording really so go easy on me. I still have to layer in the other guitar part and finish the song of course but I keep changing all the parts to it because I'm a fag.

Thanks to Marlon for the GP drums.

This forum sure is dead. I suppose it's useless to ask if gonzo and heartless are still around. Always had a good laugh reading their stuff.
    Anyway watch this:

I am Heartless (changed name before I left). I don't remember or recognize you in the video though, did you use a different name before?

I wish that Argentinian bastard was still kicking around though.

Yes, although I was more of a reader than a poster. I honestly can't remember what my old username was, that's why I created this account. Watching you fight with that guy that used to date a girl from this forum, seeing photoshop battles, that norwegian kid (Daniel if i remember correctly), the guy with the teletubbies in his avatar, and a bunch of others, you all made my highschool job days easier to go through.

No idea who you're referring to, probably because I fought with everyone, but I'm glad our collective deficiencies as human beings brought you entertainment.
