You didn't know Destruction was thrash? And yeah, Night of the Stormrider is total thrash! I can't get past the order these are in though. Reign in Blood isn't even in the Top 10.

i always saw destruction as thrash/death rather than pure thrash, who i normally attribute to the big four. the order is a bit different to how most metalheads think, but overall those 50 albums are essential, so i think the list is pretty good.

Destruction are pure thrash to me. The best examples of thrash at its purest are your Kill Em Alls, Bonded by Bloods and Feel the Fires. Destruction are a little more extreme than most American thrash but i wouldn't say they border on death. That list is wierd but at least but good to Coroner so far up the list.

Rust in Peace should be number one, Master of Puppets should be second, Reign in Blood should be third, Bonded by Blood should be fourth, and Terrible Certainty should be fifth. But that's just my opinion.

It's awesome to see Mortal Sin get factored into the list. To be promoted to the Top 10 is very awesome.

No one is ever happy with these top album lists but I honestly cannot believe Annihilator (Alice In Hell) and Infernal Majesty (None Shall Defy) don't make an appearance in the top 50, nor any of the staff top 10s.

I also personally think a lot of the time it was a case of "Right band, wrong album" and I noticed a lack of Exciter, Tankard, Nuclear Assault, Wratchchild America, Razor, Xentrix but those bands are generally less likely to be enjoyed by fans who don't live and breathe Thrash so that's understandable.

Overall it's a lot better than a fair few of these lists I've seen.

I think RIP should have been number 1. But they give a good description of it. Im not the biggest thrash fan nor am i well educated about most bands in the genre apart from the big ones, but i think annihilator should have had alice in hell or never, neverland in there. Was good to see some testament as well :headbang:

Definately needs some Tankard, Armoured Angel, Gahenna (sp?), more Destruction, Annihilator, Anthrax, Nevermore and Stormtroopers Of Death (S.O.D.).

But I'm very glad to see Mortal Sin make the list.
Should be in the top ten though.
