Wow. I had no idea just how great this disc is as I did not listen to a single note until it landed in my mailbox. It's basically a power metal version of Circus Maximus complete with some outstanding vocal harmonies/layering. Check out the cuts "Rain" or "Silently We Fade" to hear what I'm talking about.

    Big thumbs up.

I just got it a few weeks back. On first listen I thought it was just OK. I also got like 7 other disc the same day so it got pushed to the bottom of the pile, but I was listening to it again the other day and it is slowly growing on me.

Thier first disc is also in the works to be re-issued. very nice.

This band is awesome and so is this Disc. That is how it landed in my tops of 2008.

I had their first disc a few years back and it did nothing for me. FatesFan has been pimping their latest to me lately as well, so it looks like I'll be checking it out tonight when I ge home.

Yes its Henrick Bath from Darkwater as well as the rest of the band too, Markus, Magnus and Tobias, not sure who is playing bass. Great guys and this is a great album a huge step up from their first release Dreaming Awake.

Really?? That surprises me a lot.

I think the singer is one of the best things about Darkwater...solid voice, good range, and good vocal melodies. I wouldn't say he's in the same league as, say, Mike Ericsen (Circus Maximus), Ray Alder (Fates Warning), etc, but definitely got a very solid voice (and pulled it off VERY well live, which many singers can't).

Darkwater is great overall, too...they were a VERY nice surprise at BARfest this year, since I didn't know them at all previously.

This disc kicks all kinds of ass! So does Darkwater, as well as Emil the owner of Ulterium Records!

Glad to see Theocracy on the roster.

BTW whoever mentioned the 1st Harmony reissue its already out via Ulterium. Even though I own the Massacre Records version I had to snatch it again to show my support!

Should be getting this one for Christmas. What I listened to on their Myspace page I really enjoyed, and I love the Darkwater cd as well. I picked that one up at PP in 2007, and still listen to it often.

I don't much care for Darkwater .. too wanky .. didn't care for the vocals. It just didn't work for me. I gave it a couple spins, and then moved on.

I'm not really trying to be critical of the singer ... it's just that his voice doesn't appeal to me. I'm sure he's got loads of talent.

Same here. I listened to the Darkwater disc several times through and just didn't care for it. I didn't think it was bad, but it just didn't grab me.

I saw them at Brainstorm Festival in Holland three weeks ago. They put on an awesome set. Henrik is great live--hits every note dead on. You can see pictures at www.thecrossstream.com and clicking on Brainstorm Fest Pics on the left.

I've never heard of Harmony. But I listened to a few tracks on their MySpace page. You're right, Glenn. Very well made.

I'll have to check it out in more depth.

By the way, I love Darkwater. One of my favorite bands. Their album kicked my ass from the first track. So if Harmony features the same vocalist as on Darkwater, well, all the better.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    Bill

DARKWATER = HARMONY = 7 DAYS These three bands all have most of the same if not all the same members(7 Days drummer is Daniel Flores, and he produces the other two)

I would love to see DARK MOOR at PPXI. Their new album "Autumnal" is fucking incredible. Also, the album artwork is one of my favorites ...EVER.
