The Super Mario Bros. theme song on guitar!!! I don't know or care if everybody here's seen this. It sounds perfect, down to the tone.

Does anybody knbow how to make he coin sound? That would be the coolest thing to stick in the middle of a guitar solo.

Haha yeah I believe I have this video for about a couple of months on my computer. Right after I had shown it to my brother he began to play all the mario themes as well. He actually figured out how to do the coin sound as well ;).

LOL, a friend of mine likes to play the mario stuff and he gave me the guitar tabulature for the mario main theme. I played it and sounded really cool, then he showed me this video you have discovered, I'm learning it at the moment, it is quite cool!

I have the tabulature for this video, when I've found it I can send it to you!

Now, I'm obliged to learn how to do that, and put it in some of my solos.

I have my guitar tuned 1 step down and i do the coin sound by artificial harmonic-ing 5 on the 2nd tiniest string and then 5 on the tiny string really fast.

    (double postzorz)
Actually, is it an artificial or natural harmonic when you just barely put your finger on the string over the desired fret and pick? Cause thats what i do for the coin noise.

It's definitely not an artificial harmonic. The artificial harmonic sounds more like a squealing sound than the coin sound.

The coin sounds are 5th fret natural harmonics on the 2 highest strings.
