Hmmm! Interesting. I didn't even realize he had other material set aside for another Control Denied album. I might donate some cash to this effort. Would love to hear this material.

Does the membership fee also include a copy of the album when it's released, or do you then have to buy it?

    Good question.

Judging from all the free shit their prepared to giveaway, I'm sure they would give everyone who is a member a free copy of the album if it were released.

I'm not knocking the idea, by the way. Just figuring that you're donating the money to get it released, you shouldn't have to pay for it again when it comes out.

That's what I was thinking. I'd love to hear the album though. I think he'd done a fair bit of material for it before he got too sick.

As much as I'd like to hear it, I think it should be layed to rest. If it's not Chuck being behind it 100%, I'm not sure they would even do it the way he would have wanted.

Unless he had a COMPLETE album worth of material (scratch tracks, demo's etc etc), I don't think this should be done. I'm not knocking the guys involved, but C.D was Chuck's band... without his input, it won't be the same

I got the impression at the time that it wasn't all that far off being finished.

Most of it was done except for some final tracking as far as I am aware.

Yeah that's the problem I think. Karmageddon owns the recording.

I guess it depends if it was his wish near the end for this to see the light of day. Kinda like Piggy with VOIVOD.
If so then i definitely hope it comes out.

The final Voivod album wasn't very good though.

    That's what I'm afraid of.

I'm not saying the album will be terrible, but how do we know it wont be some half ass cash grab scheme by the record company. Look what Karmageddon did with Zero Tolerance I and II.

I'm hoping a lot of the red tape will finally be laid to rest, and the fans will have their say in wanting this album released.

If the 4 tracks on Zero Tolerance I are anything to go by, the album will sound pretty amazing.

I'm going to donate some money next week. It wont be much, but hopefully it will get the ball rolling.

I wonder if Tim Aymar will come back to do vocals, or if the album will be purely instrumental?

I didn't like the vocals all that much, so I'm not bothered either way!

    Doh'eth! :p

I have no explanation for this blatant mistake.
