i really don't think it's pedantry. cd (and minidisc, and DAT, and a million other digital formats that aren't just a file on a computer) isn't a "technically" digital format or digital only in some sort of academic sense, it is very much straight up digital audio and have been referred to as such for decades.

now referring to a digital download as a digital download, that's fine (although redundant, because no one is really "downloading" analog data), but not solely "digital" because it makes no sense and does not convey what you're trying to convey. "digital" is a way of storing data, not a method of distributing it.

if you're trying to distinguish between physical and non-physical, you can say "physical" and "non-physical" imo

I think the worst thing you can do to a shirt is attempt to run some horrible lettering or print or whatever down the sleeves of a longsleeve. I like longsleeve shirts but refuse to buy any with that shit on.

One of the greatest, actually. I recently paid $50 for a Vintersorg long-sleeve from the Cosmic Genesis tour.

It perfectly represents his trademark "cosmic word salad" lyrics

I was pretty surprised that Norway was such a male-preppy and women spray Tanny place when I went. Would never have guessed it

i'd never buy one of those, i prefer the warmth and life-like immersion of analog video games

to add to the confusion: if the optical drive survives into the NEXT generation (i really, really doubt it) i bet they're going to turn the rhetoric around

the PS6 (download only) will just be the "PS6", and then there will be a "PS6 optical drive edition", the weird niche one for the last people still on 56k and/or who cannot imagine living without an ikea bookshelf full of alphabetically sorted plastic discs in cases

First thing that popped in my head. I found that movie to be tripe, but the luscious paps of Laura Harring was a worthwhile counter weight.

Wouldnt work for me, I dont own a computer.

Thankfully I got enough cds to listen to as is, and any further purchase will be mere garnish. Bluetoothing off youtube is not the same as listening to a cd proper. No, im not going to buy a computer or any ripper to become "digital." Its just not in the cards. Id see myself dismissing a grim jpeg of a ripped album just as much as rifling through my cd storage.

I think you missed the part where CD = "Digital."

Also, you don't a computer? The fuck?

All this whoring is done through a dumbphone?

PS - And when you click on all of these links to music, I'm assuming you at least plug in a decent pair of iem's into your phone for a proper listen and not through the phone's speakers?

Semantics, I meant " non-physical." Im sure you kids with DAC, DIC, FLAC, CACK, and all that other shit are listening to the same crud as my hair laden ears upon pressing play. Im just in too deep at this point, and mentally whether its all psychological or not, I couldnt get the same erection from buying a high quality rip off Bandcamp as receiving a physical package of some luscious polycarbonate in the mail. It would just be shallow, less intimate. If y'all leapt this mental hurdle I commend ye. I wouldnt mind getting rid of all these cds if I could do the leap.

Phone's a 1200 Dollah Samsung Note, shit better be capable of surfing an antiquated message board. No need to own a computer, as im forced to be on one at work 40hrs a week. Only way i'd purchase one is if I legit downgraded back to a dumbphone capable of only texting, which is tempting, but highly impractical in this day and age.

Albums were listened to in a variety of ways. Phone+15dollar bluetooth headphones. Or streamed to bluetooth adapter to home stereo system. (Ye know the one attached to that 6cd disc changer?)

I used to up until very very recent, walk around with a sony discman and some headphones that would make Jack Tripper blush.

It's not mere semantics when modern day colloquial speech equates "digital" to computer files rather than actual physical CD's. Erik will not die in vain upon this hill here, my friend.
