Hey guys, I've been listening to the new Crown the Empire a lot and really love the way Joey did it. Does anyone know how to do the effect at 2:42? Its almost like a telephone sounding EQ but i'm not sure how he did it. Thanks fellas!

Just sounds like HPF and LPF and tape overdrive - very typical EQ 'Telephone' preset. Just shape EQ, RVB and saturation to taste.

Use the TS-808 in Pod farm and it should sound like that, nothing special at all really :p

You could try using EQ and a phase vocoder which is what telephones (and to a lesser/different extent, autotune) actually use to transmit the voice data. ;)
