We've set up a tutorial to teach you step by step how to set your avatar and signature..it can be found here: Avatar/Signature Tutorial. The rules for your signature area are as follows: • 200 pixels high • 500 pixels wide (if it includes a large image, otherwise long text will wrap) • No foul language please unless you use $%^ or whatever to edit it. • No offensive emblems such as swastikas, etc. or porn/adult related imagery (this goes for avatars as well please, thanks) • No verbal harassment of other members unless it is joking and the other person is cool with it. For size reference: These sig rules apply to all forums. Any questions you may have after reading the tutorial may be posted in this thread. Please do not use this thread to test your avatars/signatures; there's another thread just for that purpose here.
i changed my sig yesterday, but now it seems the "posting field"(dunno how to call it) is too wide. so every thread i post in has to be scrolled from right to left to read the complete post. i tried to change the place of the text but that doesn't help either. what am i doing wrong?????
You appear to have too many indents in there, if you remove a couple of those it should work fine. Don't forget it also depends on resolution, so while if you reduce the number of indents to fit your screen, it may not work for everyone else as well
right, tried to change it (decrease indent button), but now my posts aren't just wide, they're "high" as well. sorry, i don't know much about these things. i don't know if the post appear the same to you , but it's pretty annoying...
No, it has to be on the web..you can use photobucket.com for image hosting if you don't have a web host..
I wanted to post a picture that I really like in my signature, but it's too big and I don't want to annoy anybody...Could you please tell me how to re-size an image? If there's a differnt method to resizing avatars too, could you please show/tell me how? Thanks Jax!
Usually using a graphics program is the way to do it..you can always set the height/width in the tag if you can't actually resize it, but that can make for a crappy quality image.
I have messages in to the owner of UM asking if I need to reupload the tutorial or what..it'll either be back soon, or I'll just put the tutorial in a thread by itself.
OK here's my problem... I can't get my MySpace link to work... It asks for my MySpace Account Number & I have no idea how to retrieve that. I put my full link in earlier & it was not working either. I also noticed that there are some more people here who's MySpace link is not working either. What am I doing wrong?? I hate asking questions link this.
