Looks pretty damn retarded. Also, the lyrics are occasionally kind of late and the font sucks.
I don't know. I don't wanna know. -_-
it's the other way around, easily
lol, that was pretty cheesy. But hey, the goofy lyrics don't lend themselves to much else.
Meanwhile Blood Red Throne releases the following lyrics video:
Anyone could do that! At least the font is easy to read.
What do people expect? They don't buy CDs or merchandise anymore and yet want labels to spend millions on producing a lyric video?
Decent song though. Look forward to the latest from BRT.
Nah, it's not about money, it's about creativity. The reaction shouldn't be "giving up", it should be "stealing people's hearts with more awesome music than ever." Otherwise artists just have to rely on the nostalgia of epic works of the past.
Well, music came creativitywise and possibilitywise to an end.
I recommend reading Adam Darskis (Nergal from Behemoth) biography.
He said that almost every possible riff in the world is already written
so it's really hard to come up with something really new.
You can't invent the wheel a new.
Only thing you can do is improve it, but also there is somehow an end.
Naaah, I absolutely don't believe the "all music is written" argument. There are endless possibilities to create emotions in music. The key is using different sounds to serve the purpose created for them, and combining different things creatively together so they feel as one song. It's like storytelling. See the thing is, music shouldn't be a sport, it should be art. So many metal bands treat guitar playing as a sport. Just because most people don't have creativity for shit doesn't mean someone doesn't create something really cool and interesting at times. Most people just can't tap into that creative zone. Even stories are investigated as formulas and structures, but it doesn't mean someone won't come up with something new or even something interesting in a natural formula. I could describe you an absolutely killer COB album moment to moment if I wanted to. And remember, atmosphere always feels fresh.
Simple composions can be incredibly amazing when there is creativity. And the most perfect song or story formula can turn out completely shit when the artist has no creativity.
Hold Your Tongue intro beat is stolen from this...oh, and song title reminds me of something too
Just ran into the Local Band singer, considered asking him to tell Alexi to "follow the Reaper" but I was too busy buying licorice protein bars.
LOL, that would have been a good idea actually.
You guys in Finland just simply walk among stars*.*
Dude I am a star. I just forgot his name so I let it go.
Joonas is the starest of all the stars
Olli Herman? I once saw Matias Kupiainen, the guitarist from Stratovarius, in S-Market but didn't dare go say hi
COB have found their "sound" like they say, and want to compose spontaneously, but this leads to the outcome that new albums sound the same after all. Thus we arrive at the conclusion: it should be intentional and planned what kind of style changes they'll do with each album. How can it not be a good idea to say 'we're gonna make an album that sounds a certain colour, has a certain atmosphere, a certain relationship of aggression and emotion', etc. When that isn't happening, they feel like doing the same stuff over again, when they've already dug everything out of it. Since they've found their "sound", they would still be recognized as Bodom even if they decided to do an album that sounds dark blue and is full of emotional melodies and black metal drumming... Alexi should investigate a completely new dimension of the music, something that resides somewhere deep in his creative mind, where all he can hear is music without techniques. Don't start jamming the guitar spontaneously, first make up an idea in your mind.
I'm thinking about this for a while now:
"I need you far away from me, I want you closer to me" , this has a deeper meaning. I know that fucking feeling. Don#t know why I#m coming with this right know but I think this is an interesting line.
I don't understand what the lyrics are about. Three of us walked away, two of us saw yesterday...? Is it about the sorrow of a friendship ending in murder, is it about distance to God, or about a relationship drama of three people...
