I think if Electric Wizard and Pentagram played on the same day in the same venue I would melt from all the doom. Best show ever.

Wow, impressive. I figured there would be a good chance to see Iced Earth in Chicago sometime, but I never figured it would be so soon! As others have mentioned, this totally bumps the festival up from "eh, I'll just pay at the door" to "hmm, I should probably buy in advance!"

What a perfect occasion for my 20th Iced Earth concert!

Now I actually have to reconsider my plan to go to ProgPower...I'm not as sure that it would be worth it anymore. And it seems like the setlist in Chicago could potentially be more interesting, since there probably wouldn't be as much focus on the Something Wicked albums, which would give them a bit more freedom. Then again, I guess I don't REALLY need to see all the old Barlow classics that badly yet again.

Sweet! I didn't realize there was so much love for Electric Wizard.
Their latest is distributed by CANDLELIGHT in the US.
This helped the popularity of ENSLAVED in the States.
I hope the same happens for EW, though they probably need to do a proper US tour.

Aquaria would literally make me fall out of my chair. I LOVE their first CD. Haven't gotten the second one yet, but it's high on my list. I don't see them pulling them into this fest though, unfortunately.

I know. They would draw like 3 people but they are an incredible band. The second disc is so damn expensive. I am going to order it soon.

I'll be suprised if Chaoswave does much more than that. I more meant that I don't see the promoters having that type of band at this fest.

Possibly, though didn't they just issue a press release one week ago asking for auditions?
I am sure a band like Iced Earth can find someone and whip em into shape quickly enough to be ready, I am certainly not worrying. Just more curious than anything, considering Powerfest is a number of months prior to Prog Power.
