Morningrise is an orgy of classical guitar. Still Life has a lot too. Besides a few obvious parts, I can't remember much from MAYH and Orchid.

I wouldn't call BWP their worst either. I said it was their best until the newness wore off. Now it's just "possibly their best." They offer different things, so I can't compare them directly.

In my opinion, BWP is a close 3rd behind Morningrise and of course their absolute best and masterpiece....

If one thinks that Benighted is a great Opeth acoustical track...that song can't even, and by a country fucking mile, touch Credence and To Bid You Farewell.

I love Credence specificlly for prolly the most beautiful melody opeth has ever created, that last melody guitar thing at the end...amazing.

Are you guys serious?!?! I love Credence too but as a song Benighted AND Face of Melinda blow it and TBYF right out of the water...

Sure I might be biased as I love the hell out of Still Life but I've learned most of the acoustic parts and I absolutely adore Benighted and Face of Melinda..

    My thoughts.

  9. I'll listen to it again...

I think "Harvest" blew me away because it's a conventional song. I thought all songs were great though...haunting songs always get me.

  10. Yeah, I heard that song and "When" are among Opeth's best. I can't wait!

Jester Race has some sick songs on it.
Yeah I have heard of Ulver, its just a pity that the only person that would have a copy of the CD I could borrow, Im not on very good terms with anymore(suppose thats no excuse). I'll have to eventually order it in, it just takes about six months for the best store in my city to order a copy in

Working in reverse order is not the direct path to Opethian enlightenment, but you should find your way...
