    Yo guys,

I'm about to launch a new drum sample subscription service, and I'm giving away two of my personal snares to promote it.

    www.DrumTrunk.com

I will be recording at some very nice studios here in Nashville every month, and will be working with some pretty cool producers in the rock and metal scene.

Think of it as a drum sample tour of Nashville, with a mix of different producers doing the processing.

Here are those snares I'm giving away.

The free snares are rad. What's the pricing gonna be like? Also, will there be an option to purchase samples without being subscribed to the monthly membership?

Pricing will be announced right before we actually launch.

There will definitely be a web store where each Trunk will go up for sale at the end of the month, however, it will be substantially cheaper for per Trunk for the subscription vs buying them separately in the store.

I'd assume that it's like all unlicences NKI's in that it'll run in the player for 15 minutes before it times out.

I have to honestly say that I'm not sure. I don't typically use NKI's for drums, and since this was a free download, I just got a friend of a friend to make the NKI's for me for free. In the future, I'll be hiring out someone legit to make my NKI files.

Sorry if they didn't work correctly! I still provided the WAV files, so you can make your own NKI, TCI, or GOG files if mine don't work for you.

I'll be doing mainly kicks, snares, and tom samples. If there is enough demand for cymbals, I'll definitely do those. It's just hard to do cymbals in anything except Kontakt, and not everyone has access to that program.

I actually plan on doing surveys each month to have subscribers vote on different things, such as what kind of drum samples they need the most, which drum brands to sample, or things like which studios they want me to record at (pretty much anything I can think of to have more user interaction with the choices).

I also have plans to travel around to any cool rooms (that aren't recording studios) I can get into in Nashville (like Ryman Auditorium) and record some room samples as a bonus for subscribers in the future. Don't hold me to that, but I definitely want to try it.

I would love to see the the pieces of the kit from Gideon's "Costs" posted ;) That kick/snare combination equated to full on perky DD tits. As well as the kick, toms and OHs. Perhaps my favorite drum mix to date.
