The article says 9 News did a story saying that it would be May 09 - don't suppose anyone here can confirm that? (I did a quick search of news.ninemsn.com.au and found nothing so I think this maaay be total BS)

Brilliant. Hilarity should be simply defined as 'Bill Bailey'. I have never laughed so hard in my life, almost everyone in the crowd had tears rolling down their cheeks they were laughing so much. He played keyboard, guitar and even the didgeridoo, and even some interpretive dance to the ABC news song. Definitely recommend seeing him if you're into his comedy style.

I missed out on Testament, got sick.

I heard from the grapevine that Slayer and Anthrax will be doing a tour of Australia next year.

There was almost no promotion for the Testament gig at all which I thought was pretty strange but they still sold out, probably saved a bit of money. It was a pretty amazing gig as well, glad I could finally see Testament for the first time after all those years of waiting. Last time they came round they didn't let me in coz I wasnt 18 yet.

Yeah I suppose there wasn't a lot. I knew about it from here, though there were full page ads in Beat and In Press when the tour was first announced, from memory. Good you finally got to see them!

Can't remember to be honest, but I know they did play Souls of Black and Raging Waters which I dont think they played in either Brissy or Melbourne :)

Actually I'll give it a shot... (just going through the albums - no order)

    Over The Wall
    Alone in the Dark
    Raging Waters
    Apocalyptic City
    Into the Pit
    The Preacher
    The New Order
    Practice What You Preach
    The Legacy
    DNR
    3 Days of Darkness
    Legions of the Dead
    More than Meets the Eye
    Formation of Damnation

I have no idea if Im even close. Some of those songs I may have actually imagined, lol. Waiting on Cameron Edney to post up a setlist and then I'll throw it in here :)

    Well the Melbourne setlist was...

    Over The Wall
    Into The Pit
    Practice What You Preach
    The New Order
    Electric Crown
    ——————–
    More Than Meets The Eye
    Henchmen Ride
    ——————–
    The Legacy
    Apocalyptic City
    ——————–
    D.N.R.
    Three Days In Darkness
    ——————–
    The Formation Of Damnation
    The Preacher
    Alone In The Dark
    Disciples Of The Watch

So I'd imagine Sydney would have been similar, but with a few extras apparently.

Bleed Records, RW Entertainment , Century Media , Regain Records & Riot Are Proud to Announce the First Ever Australian & New Zealand Tour of Stockholm, Sweden’s Death Metal Godfathers - GRAVE.

Swedish Death Metal…..!!! INTO THE GRAVE !!!!

GRAVE established themselves with their legendary debut “Into the Grave” and at Release Date in 1991, Century Media Records inked the Album as one of Death Metal’s most brutal new hopes and its release ensued that by creating a sound and style which has been an inspiration for the whole genre .

1992’s “You’ll Never See…”, the band’s critically-acclaimed second release, showcased their growing musical talent with a cleaner, stronger sound which appealed to a wider audience while retaining the group’s trademark heaviness.

The Long-awaited third full-length offering “Soulless” in 1994 , Recorded at Stockholm’s Sunlight Studios with producer Tomas Skogsberg, Manifested a more mature musical stance than in the case of GRAVE’s previous efforts, “Soulless” pleased the band’s longtime followers while expanding the group’s appeal to non die hard death metal audiences.

In 1996, GRAVE came back with another attack of their relentlessly brutal yet catchy material in the shape of “Hating Life”. The album featured a vocal debut of the guitarist Ola Lindgren, who took over the function following the departure of Jorgen Sandstrom ( Entombed ).

After Many Endless Long Tours Across Europe and the States, the band had a long and well deserved break
In the spring of 2002 the album “Back from the grave” was recorded at Sunlight studios in Stockholm.
with a new bass player in Freddan Isaksson ( Therion )

The sixth album in the history of GRAVE enitled “Fiendish Regression”. added a more vivid groove attack to the classic GRAVE song-structures.

Two European tours followed: one headlining and one as part of “The Domination Tour”, alongside Cryptopsy and Aborted.

Back in Sweden, GRAVE entered Abyss Studio (Dimmu Borgir, Immortal) to record their newest malevolent creation “As Rapture Comes”. . with Engineer Peter Tägtgren. The album delivers the bands famous unrelentless death-groove with increased aggression and superior dynamics .

The 7:th album “As Rapture Comes” was released in July 2006.
Featuring everything between the brutality of “Into the grave” and the groove and heaviness of “Soulless”

Now the 8th Album ” Dominion V111 is Released , Showcasing Grave has Lost Nothing in Terms of Power , Groove and Agression . Certain to please anyone into true oldschool deathmetal.

For The First time EVER ……… Now Australia,,,,,, will Officially become SOULESS !!!

That's a lot of crap to sit through to hear Sneaky Sound System. Am i missing somethign here? Isn't Neil Young dead yet? Why would kids these days give a fuck about his music. Seems like an odd headline. Maybe BDO thinks its Woodstock.

Living End and Prodigy would be cool at least. Don't think I'd ever bother with the BDO though.

Bogans Day Out looks crap, yet again. Only the Prodigy interest me, and I am sure they wouldn't be great live.
