Maybe, but that's the weakest line-up I've ever seen.

    And that's saying something....

I saw the Prodigy in the Boiler Room in about 1996 when I hardly knew anything about them, and they were amazing. Then they played on the big stage in daylight the following year and it was shit.

Ahh you bunch of old poo-poos. It'll be mad. This is the only lineup since 2004 to interest me enough to go. I'm gonna be rockin in the free world, youse can garrn git. Hanging out for Young, The Living End (who might I mention are in TOP form),TZU, and the Ting Tings and Grates should be OK too.

IMHO, Sneaky Sound System are abominable. That white dude with the geeky hair can NOT rap for shit.

ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES lineups for Melb/Syd/Bris announced. Nothing that floats my boat, but I'm sure it would be a heap of fun.

    Full details here:

    http://www.atpfestival.com/atp/Events/Group/ATPAustralia2009.php

For those that don't want to have to dig around the site for the lineups:

    VICTORIA
Friday 9 & Saturday 10 January, Mt Buller
All Tomorrow’s Parties will be setting up camp at the picturesque Mount Buller Alpine Resort, only a short road-trip away from Melbourne. It stretches over a full weekend, taking in three stages and over 30 bands. Of ATP’s three Australian stop-offs, this one is the true ‘festival’. On sale now.

Victoria line-up: NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, THE SAINTS, SPIRITUALIZED, FUCK BUTTONS, HARMONIA, THE NECKS, LAUGHING CLOWNS, ROBERT FORSTER, JAMES BLOOD ULMER, M GIRA, PRIMITIVE CALCULATORS, AFRIRAMPO, SILVER APPLES, BRIDEZILLA, ROWLAND S. HOWARD, THE STABS

    SYDNEY
Sunday 18 & Monday 19 January, Cockatoo Island
All those with fingers crossed for Cockatoo Island, your wishes have been heeded. The peerless heritage site in Sydney Harbour will host ATP in conjunction with Sydney Festival. The one-day program will debut on 18 January, then repeat on 19 January. On sale 10 November.

Sydney line-up: NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, THE SAINTS, SPIRITUALIZED, ROBERT FORSTER, SILVER APPLES, M GIRA, FUCK BUTTONS, JAMES BLOOD ULMER, AFRIRAMPO, HARMONIA, BRIDEZILLA, THE NECKS, LAUGHING CLOWNS

Brisbane will be treated to a series of “one night stands” between 12 and 16 January at the Brisbane Powerhouse. Full line-ups are yet to be finalised, but Fuck Buttons, Afrirampo and Harmonia are already locked in. Just as exciting is news that ATP will stage an afternoon/evening mini-festival at Brisbane Riverstage featuring Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Spiritualized, Robert Forster, James Blood Ulmer and others. They interest my 16 year old daughter too.

ATP doesn't look that enticing. Don't think I will be going to either.

Prodigy have about 3 or 4 fun songs, the rest is shyte.

And although BFMV are a fun bunch of guys, I ain't paying that much for a ticket just to see them.

Your kidding right? That song IS white noise. I have to listen to that garbage at least 3 times a day. I'm not sure i'd be able to discern between the fuzz and the song.

BTW, that's not an attack at your tastes, just venting my frustration in radio in general. Terrible song though.

Its just the name of the tour...they played other songs too :p but i think id go mad if I had to listen to it all day too...i glad im in a situation where I dont have to listen to any radio. I accually enjoy listening to that song, probably because I only hear it when I throw the album on!

That album has been on loop for the past two days I've been working. I liked it for the first few listens, now I think I've OD'd on The Living End.

Actually The Prodigy are phenomenal live! They always put on an amazing live show. I actually love them live more than on CD. Hopefully they'll do a sideshow though, as the only other artist on BDO I'd be interested in seeing so far is Sneaky Sound System.

Soundwave is a million times better for everyone into alternative musics (punk/emo/hardcore/metal etc.)- I think I might try and make it along to Soundwave this year.

The Prodigy are fun live- and I'm far from a huge fan of their music. I'll be going to BDO just ebcause I have for the last ten years and have fun anyway, but am hoping for a little more inspiration with the second annoucement.

What's disappointing is that Machine Head were slated to play BDO but were reportedly "advised" by their label to do the Slipknot tour instead. Bah.

And Soundwave is looking pretty good as well- last two years have been fun despite the shitty organisation.
