Metal Evilution is very proud to announce that 3 of our bands are chosen to be part of legendary Metal Store UTOPIA records huge 30th anniversary show:Metal For The Masses. Should be awesome!!!
http://www.70000tons.com/artists.htm Holy shitballs!!!! I'm so looking at my budget to see if I can get over for this. 40 bands, 4 day cruise... look at the line-up already!
Also still considering it. Will depend greatly on how much I get back from tax and how much work I can get in the upcoming uni holidays.
Yeah it is indeed an amazing line up!! I'm still somewhat hesitant about being stuck on a boat with a hangover for that amount of time and to be honest it really just looks to sunny for me.
They've announced 18 bands so far, at least a dozen of them are "must see's" for me. Only downside is that it's too soon for Jess to come along after the baby is born
HAHAHAHA!! My wife and I are booked on 70,000 tons All paid up - got one of the Junior Suites, flights paid for, and staying a week or so extra to check out maybe Universal Studios or Disneyworld. The lineup is great so far - I'm hoping for maybe some more german bands (edguy, blind guardian, helloween, gamma ray) or Kamelot to be added to the list. Often, where there is Epica, Kamelot are not far away so I'm hopeful on that one
I've been running some rough figures... flights can go anywhere from 2k to 2.5 (depending on who you fly with). Tickets for the show are $1500 max (depending on the room you get, the amount of people you share with etc etc) So I think 5k would make for a fairly comfortable trip... all food / drinks (non-alcoholic) are covered in the ticket cost
Anyone going to Alestorm tomorrow night? I'll be the idiot wearing a Manoawar shirt with a pirate sort of shirt on top . Should be fun.
Word on the street is that Lamb of God are supporting Metallica. I actually predicted that right at the beginning! Oh well!
