Tool is really the only band I'd want to see. Getting very tempted to buy Soundwave ticket soon (hope it isn't sold out!).

You'd like birds of tokyo. I saw them in brissy on friday, twas aawesome.
This is only the first annoucement though, and from what's rumoured you'll be at the Melbourne gig for sure. *cough* soundgarden and stp*cough*

I'll be hitting Melbourne again, Sydney blows chunks.

There's heaps of stuff on the lineup I'm quite pumped about.

Iggy, Grinderman, Ratatat, Angus and Julia Stone, Birds of Tokyo, Black Keys, Lupe Fiasco, Naked and Famous, Gypsy and the Cat.

I wish Die!Die!Die! were doing the aussie shows.

If you're not interested in seeing Grinderman or Iggy Pop, you should reconsider.

Yeah I would see Iggy Pop. Thought of him after I submitted my previous comment. Not that I have any of his stuff. What are Grinderman like?

If Soundgarden played I'd be there with bells on!

Birds of Tokyo - cool I'll have to check them out. I am in the market for new music, but am just out of touch.

Birds of Tokyo have some strange elements. The new self titled album sounds like the last 2 anathema crossed with the first 2 muse albums. I'm quite taken with it.

Grinderman is Nick Cave's latest band. Not that new, they have 2 albums.
It's like Nick and the bad seeds pretending to be the birthday party. It's a lot rawer, a lot darker. It's a celebration of Nick Cave not being able to play guitar at all. It's incredibly good.

I wouldn't spread it around. The guys really wouldn't appreciate a rumour of this magnitude being discussed, especially if there was any chance it could affect them in a negative way.

I agree. With many big support slots the band is obligated to keep the news hush hush until the promoter gives them the ok or they make an official announcement.
I suggest just leave this alone for a while. And if it is true it's gonna be a remarkable show indeed.:D
