For the best part of a decade SEGRESSION were at the forefront of the Australian Metal Scene. Their dynamic and energetic shows during numerous tours of Australia and the US earned them the right to share the stage with such luminaries as Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Machine Head, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Strapping Young Lad, Suicidal Tendencies, Fozzy, Cradle of Filth and Cathedral.

SEGRESSION have recorded four successful albums, L.I.A., 5th of the 5th, Smile and ‘Segression’ with the Smile Album still one of the biggest selling metal records in Australian history. Fast forward to the present and SEGRESSION are about to release their highly anticipated NEW album ‘Never Dead’ on April 15, 2011 through Riot/Warner, while their single, released on March 18 2011, ‘Hero Anthem’ debuted at Number 2 on the iTunes Metal Charts.

The spark has been lit and the power is back. The killer new album, ‘Never Dead’ has a groove and ferocity that is completely unique. It is the band being truly themselves, creating music that perfectly captures the true nature of the musical beast that is SEGRESSION. Hang on for the ride, raise your metal horns high and come and see why they are again at the forefront of the Australian Metal scene as they tour throughout Australia in May on the ‘Never Dead’ Tour!

What was the go with Segression? They were everywhere for a while, then moved to America, disappeared for years, and now they've re-emerged.

Metal Health 2011 tour cancelled due to breach of contract apparently.

Bummer for those you were going :(

    EDIT: STATEMENT FROM INTENSE IMPACT:

An official announcement from Intense Impact will be forthcoming later today regarding a revision of the Metal Health 2011 Tour. This revision was initiated in order to take into account that Quiet Riot have decided not to continue with this tour, therefore Intense Impact are restructuring the current concert line-up with the welcomed... addition of Mike Stone (Queensryche) new band “The Stick People”.

This tour has not been cancelled and the show will go on. Everyone’s patience is appreciated. The original "announcement" that everyone is talking about came from Quiet Riot's agent, as a result of continuing "difficulties" between Intense Impact and this agent. It was in no way, shape or form authorised by Intense Impact.

It's a disaster. Always would be. The original tour details were leaked, then they were changed, then the headliner started refusing to do interviews, now they've cancelled and been replaced by a band no one's even heard of. Great going.

Oh, I will add to that Metal Health tour cancellation post by saying that apparently Warrant have confirmed they won't be coming.
