I interviewed Erik from Warrant five days ago, and he was all set to come here, so something's gone down since, and may even have been going on before that because I was originally supposed to interview Frankie from Quiet Riot but he cancelled all press commitments.

Hmmm. Adelaide date is AFL Grand Final day. Emo's might not care, but it's a big day for many of us regardless of who is playing. :err:

Yeah and it's grand final eve here for the Melbourne show. I dunno if that'll have any impact; probably not.

I wouldn't attend a gig that clashed with a grand final I wanted to watch.

Well if it's Port or the Crows, that's just about the worst date you could possibly have it.

Latest addition to Soundwave Revolution is:

    Kvelertak

Never heard of them but they are "Norwegian black metal" apparently

Not really Norwegian black metal in the traditional sense.

More like a party version of Imp Naz.

I think Adelaide footy fans are safe, there's more chance of Fitzroy being there on Grand Final day :)

Also tickets for Soundwave would go on sale before grand finalists are decided. So people would already be committed to Soundwave

Having said that if it was Sydney FC in a grand final I'd sell my ticket or simply not go to said concert even if I'd already bought a ticket

The big announcement is next Thursday for Soundwave Revolution, so I imagine ticketing details will be release then.

In other news, people that went on 70000 Tons this year got sent special pre-booking codes for next year! We're going again (hopefully - got to sweet talk the inlaws to look after the kids for a week haha!)

First 7 of 40 bands announced - Grave Digger, Stratovarius, Therion, Tristania, Eluveitie, Pestilence and My Dying Bride.

Oh man Grave Digger. I hope they do some sort of side tour of the US as well.

Would love to see them, might be worth checking out 70K tickets considering it'll be cheap for me to get there.

I should be going to 70000 Tons. Going to book my ticket, then I'll be forced to save! :D

According to one of my friends, the singer of MDB has a morbid fear of flying so its not likely they'll ever make it here :(

Five of the cheapest cabin types on the cruise have sold out already! I guess a lot of people that went this year are going again :)

How is he getting to the cruise then?
