I can't see any festival headlined by the Angels getting 80,000 people to it :)

Will not happen. Prepare to read about it in the papers sometime later this year if it makes it further than what we're seeing here. ;)

It says headlined by internationals and supported by locals so I don't think the angels are supposed to be a headline act - unless I missed something :)

Still, those numbers are very, very ambitious for a venue in the middle of nowhere for an event never held before. They'd need to pull some serious international acts to get those numbers and some serious logistics to support those numbers in the middle of a paddock.

Yeah International announcements are meant to come soon.

Rumours I've heard are along the lines of The Doors being the 'resurrected' band, and also Rolling Stones and Springsteen rumoured.

They have posted on their facebook links to stuff like The Pretenders, Blondie, Aerosmith, Free, Bad Company, etc. So I imagine that is the kind of International bands they'll be trying to get.

But yeah, the cynic in me agrees with LT in that this will no doubt get cancelled or "postponed".

Haha they should get Jeff Martin to front the doors- he often comments that he is the reincarnation of Jim Morrison.

Agreed, Cold Chisel's show is booked in at the Hordern.

They'd need at least Twisted Sister to get those kind of numbers.

SIX FEET UNDER join DEVILDRIVER and DARKEST HOUR for their Australian Tour!

For the first time EVER in Australia.... SIX FEET UNDER
“SIX FEET UNDER have taken reign as the biggest death metal band in the underground scene today” – The Gauntlet.

Featuring the legendary godfather of death metal Chris Barnes, SIX FEET UNDER has been delivering their brilliant brand of unapologetic metal since 1993. Their latest album ‘Death Rituals’, sees them delivering bludgeoning slabs of death, doom and destruction that only enforces their position as one of the most important bands in death metal history.

Australian fans have waited what seems like an eternity for SIX FEET UNDER to tour and they finally get their chance to see them this May!

Just goes to show that any monkey can put up a website, photograph themselves with some crayons and paper in a paddock and pretend to have an epic concert in the bag
As always, hoping that I will someday eat my words, but history isn't on their side. Can we perhaps see a pattern here:

    1. Give the donkeys 12 months or so to stop braying
    2. Put up a website promising awesome bands and blowjobs at the gates
    3. Sell some tix
    4. Have it all fall apart for "reasons beyond our control"
    5. Laugh all the way to Majorca

    THE DARKNESS

We are very excited to announce that The Darkness is coming to Australia to play shows in across the country.

The last time we were graced with the British glam rockers presence was in 2008 so it's exciting to have the original line-up - Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Ed Graham - back to deliver us their fun and "multi-dimensionally" entertaining live rock show. Throw Justin's amazing falsetto into the mix and it's gonna be an epic show!

The Darkness will be playing songs from their mega-selling album Permission To Land including the killer tune "I Believe In A Thing Called Love".

They also have a new album due out later this year and you can get a taste with a download of their brand new single "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us". Click here to get your download.

Tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime experience go on sale 9am, April 4.
