DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT tour was meant to be announced Friday, but a change in dates of the Japan tour has lead to a postponement of the announcement as they try to reschedule.....

I just saw an ad on the tv promoting Van Halen as the headline act for the Stone Music Festival. I haven't heard of the festival before. It is a 2 day event at ANZ Stadium Olympic Park. Noiseworks are also on the bill, which from memory some of you guys like too.

    Not exactly a tour but....

THE BIGGEST METAL FESTIVAL IN SOUTHEAST ASIA IS BACK!

HAMMERSONIC, Jakarta International Metal Festival is confirmed for its second year, being more prestigious and will be held for 2 days on 27-28 April 2013.

This year, the Hammersonic Festival will be hosted at a new venue, different from the previous Lapangan D Senayan Jakarta which had successfully accommodate an audience of more than 25,000 . We are predicting an increase in the audience number this year as the venue is more spacious, more comfortable, and more suitable for this festival. Ecopark Ancol is an area of approximately 34 hectares located in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta, the perfect venue for such an open air festival.

As we know, International line-up is very important for this festival, where last year with Nile (USA), Suffocation (USA), Psycroptic (Aust.), DRI (USA), and dozens of metal bands that has spread internationally and locally.

With a big wish-list requested by metalheads all over Indonesia in particular, big names such as Cradle of Filth (UK), Obituary (USA), Cannibal Corpse (USA), Epica (Ned), As I Lay Dying (USA), Dying Fetus (USA), Lock Up (UK), Destruction (Ger), Hour of Penance (It.), Putrid Pile (USA), Dyscarnate (UK), Saturnian (UK), Gorod (Fra.), Voyager (Aust.), Whoretopsy (Aust.), Inanimacy (Aust.), Sensory Amusia (Aust.), The Amenta (Aus), Advent Sorrow (Aust.), Ouroboros (Aust.) and Indonesia local bands: Power Metal, Sucker Head, Burgerkill, Seringai, Dead Vertical, Kapital, Unremains, Rezume, Hellcrust have all confirmed their presence. Plus dozens of other local and international bands will also perform on the amazing Hammersonic 2013.

Supporting facilities such as; VIP Lounge for a meet and greet with the bands, merchandise and clothing show case, food and beverage and also the activation and games will be available during the festival.

Pre-sale tickets will be sold on February 11 - March 30, 2013 and Normal Ticket Price on April 1 - 28, 2013 via online and offline in a widely chosen ticket boxes in major cities all over Indonesia.

I should have mentioned it here, but I got emails from lasttix.com.au with details of discounted tickets to the recent GnR show in Melbourne and Black Sabbath's second show. I got a Sabbath bronze ticket for $60 all up. So yeah I recommend that people sign up for their emails just in case something like that comes along. I got a Cirque du Soleil ticket through them a couple of years ago as well.

Yeah I recall Ticketek doing a two for one Alice Cooper deal a few years back, they do this to slow selling shows to fill seats.

Not worth relying on if you want tix to a certain show but definitely worth signing up in case of 'second thought' occasions.

About $900 return from Brisbane to Jakarta. Will definitely keep an eye out for the 2014 lineup. Might be worth looking at :)

The metal scene in Indonesia had gone nuts in the last few years. I wish it was like that when I lived there!

Uh huh, and it just makes her sexier :O Easily one of the best gigs I've been to though.

Moshtix can eat a cock or two though... I bought our tix in Octobeer, one VIP for Mrs Nite. She didn't get her lanyard and wasn't on the list. Luckily I had the email from promoter AND ticket stating the fact. Morons. At least she got in otherwise I'd have gone postal.

Oh, and did I mention Simone is smokin' hawt? Mmmm, redheads.
