True, but there seems to be some strange synergies between power metal and the folk metal scene. The 4 people who went to Strato with me would have also gone and seen Korpiklaani!

A little birdy told me that apparently the local promoters have a sort of 'invite only' online forum where they discuss tours and shit, so that things like clashes are not meant to happen.

That would be a logical thing to do, something obviously went wrong with this one though. Here's to hoping we avoid more scheduling conflicts in the future!

It's great that a decent number of Soundwave bands are being brought over here again, we kinda missed out for a while. Even if Megadeth is about the only one I wanna see, though Rob Zombie could be interesting.

Damn it. I thought Be'lakor were doing a show here in Ballarat for a second there.

I saw them at a decent venue earlier this month and they certainly lived up to the recordings. Highly recommended! I think every time I'd seen them previously was at low budget venues, haha.

Children of Boredom are playing Mel/Syd/Bris in May. Rockstar Touring are bringing them out.

I'm a bit annoyed by this. Soundworks touring brought CoB out last time. Got a shithouse (their words!) turnout in Brisbane and used that as justification for subsequent tours (Iced Earth, for example) not coming to Brisbane!

If the same thing happens with this one I'll be pissed. Rockstar already skip Brisbane regularly (Stratovarius, Sirenia) so if this fails and is used to justify more of that, I'll be livid.

Also, Silent Knight will be doing a vinyl launch show on December 20th at the Amplifier Bar in Perth.

If you're in WA don't miss it- these guys put on a great power metal show.

I've only heard a handful of Skid Row songs of the post-Seb version. Can't say I've been overly keen to catch up with their stuff. Maybe I'm missing out?

Actually had a listen to a track off Skid Row's latest EP today. And much to my surprise, it was pretty bloody good!
