Primal Fear Melb & Syd only... FUCKING GODDAMNIT!
Scratch that Death Dealer too - tour has been cancelled
Graham Bonnet tour has been cancelled too now.
FEAR FACTORY will be here again in June too.
I haven't had a chance to see these guys yet. I really think I'll head along this time.
WOULD LOVE TO GO TO THIS!
Anna Murphy (Eluveitie) Announces Australian Tour
The Goddess of heavy metal hurdy-gurdy, Anna Murphy, is on her way to Australia as a preview for the highly anticipated second Australian tour by her band Eluveitie. Their stunningly powerful featured vocalist, flute and hurdy-gurdy player, Anna Murphy, will be visiting Australia in March for two exclusive solo shows. These intimate performances are not to be missed.
Murphy’s short solo tour will be followed up in May, when Anna will be back on our shores again, this time joined by the rest of Eluveitie. They will present their awe inspiring package in a massive 2-hour show featuring songs spanning their entire career.
Anna Murphy Tour Dates 2016
16 March – Bald Faced Stag, Sydney
18 March, The Evelyn Hotel, Melbourne
STEEL PANTHER love this place.
Touring again in June.
Again! They're making a habit of coming here. It makes sense that we're one of their bigger markets given the jokes work best with English speaking audiences.
I haven't seen them yet. Maybe they like this place because we're not so prudish as many of the yanks.
REEALLY cannot see "Legion Music Fest" happening now:
Barely 10% of the $3.3 million they wanted raised, and only 6 days to go.
Apparently they have "a very exciting announcement" coming though.
LOL - surprising news given my previous post. Legion is 100% going ahead:
Huh, this is being run by ex-Devolved drummer, John Sankey. Cool, hope it happens... maybe I'd even go. Last "festival" I went to was Bloodlust 2004. Boy that was fun, hey Andy!
I'd be willing to support this so we can have a good 'heavy music' festival if they can just get one band off my bucketlist onto the lineup.
But currently there is not one band announced that I would pay to see if they did a headline tour, so I'm on the fence for now.
The must have got funding from elsewhere! And I'm in the same boat - the lineup isn't good enough to justify the asking price. There are plenty of bands that I'd like to see that probably wouldn't cost a packet.
DISTURBED touring in November, with Twelve Foot Ninja support.
DROWNING POOL will be touring in July.
Graham Bonnet (TOUR CANCELLED)
Legendary Voices of Rock
Coheed & Cambria
Melodic Rock Fest Melbourne
Primal Fear (Melb and Syd only)
Bullet for my Valentine/Atreyu
I appreciate you posting those lists. Good work.
My pleasure mate - the amount of times I've heard over the years "gee I'm lucky I found out these guys were playing", or had comments on tour shirts I'm wearing "really? they toured???", or the old classic I heard on the weekend "I only found out they toured here a year after it happened!"
So yeah - I like to collect the info from a variety of sources (promoters, facebook, venue websites) and put it all in one place. It benefits everyone, including me - the more people that know about these tours, the more people attend, the more likely we'll get more tours!
And speaking of tours, not really metal (but, awesome)
COHEED & CAMBRIA and touring in May, all the usual cities.
Yeah mate, we all appreciate knowing how many shows we can't afford to attend
