I'm not from Canberra, but it's actually been really good since I moved here!

Thanks as always for the updates, Cowboy. I rely on you to keep me informed! :) I'll try to get to Gilby Clarke too.

    And one for the BR00TALZ

    MAYHEM 'DE MYSTERIIS DOM SATHANAS'
    Australian Tour, January 2018

    Jan 16th - Perth, Capitol
Jan 17th - Melbourne, Max Watts
Jan 18th - Sydney, Max Watts
    Jan 19th - Brisbane, TBC
Jan 21st - Hobart, Mona Foma

Widely considered one of the single most influential albums in the history of black metal, MAYHEM bring their 'DE MYSTERIIS DOM SATHANAS' tour to Australia to shroud us all in a veil of satanic darkness. Wriiten and recorded in bleak and turbulent times, during which the suicide of vocalist 'Dead' and the murder of guitarist 'Euronymous' delayed the release by numerous years, many who would say it is the single most important album in black metal’s history.
Featuring iconic members Atilla Csihar, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer, and with the reputation of being one of the most controversial live acts to ever disgrace this planet, MAYHEM will create THE most incredible black metal tour this barren wasteland has ever seen.

I saw them at Soundwave a few years ago. They were decent enough!

Debatable as to whether they should be described as thrash, but great band. Would recommend!

Well the outback is pretty vast!

It's great they're touring though. Hard to believe they've never made it here before.

Good to see that Sabaton are coming back. Hopefully they do a show in Sydney or something.

Of the Download lineup I'd like to see those bands. There are probably some other that are good, but I'm not familiar with. The headliners don't appeal at all, but it's good to see another festival catering to metal fans. Hopefully it is more sustainable than Soundwave ended up being.
