These sideshows of Melodicrock Fest are worth mentioning too.

For those that don't know, Paul was amongst others, lead singer of DANGER DANGER.

Supports on these shows with be Tony Harnell (lead singer of TNT), FM, The Radio Sun, and Cassidy Paris.

Been a big start to the year for me.

Cold Chisel in the Hunter Valley. Awesome show. 2 hours of classic pub rock at Hope Estate winery.

Churches of Steel festival in Adelaide last weekend. Fantastic festival. This was my third time attending this great local festival. Always one of my favourite days of the year.

This weekend i have Alice Cooper on Saturday and then Red Hot Summer tour on Sunday at Bella Vista Farm

Next weekend i will finally get to see the Scorpions for the first time

Taking a week off work on May to see Iron Maiden in Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne

For anyone interested, Alice Cooper will be broadcast around 6:25 - 7:05 PM Sunday on 7plus as part of the Fire Fight concert. Queen will be on later as will John Farnham.

(I'm also going to Alice Cooper on Sat, Scorpions + Whitesnake the following week, and Maiden :)

Thanks for the heads up re the bushfire gig. I saw Alice last night - great show as always. I love the way he chooses different older stuff on different tours. We came outside and heard some music from ANZ Stadium next door and realised it was Queen!

No rest for the wicked, as usual, Ralphe!

I just gotta say that for a 70 year old, John Farnham sounds amazing.

    About Zoot
One of Australia’s biggest rock bands of the late ’60s & early ’70s, re-form for four shows only, with the band – Beeb Birtles, Rick Springfield and Rick Brewer – joined by close friend Russell Morris. ZOOT’s first Australian shows in nearly 50 years are dedicated to original lead singer, Darryl Cotton, who died in 2012.

After ZOOT disbanded in 1971, Rick Springfield became a major star in the USA, Beeb Birtles was a founding member of Little River Band, and Rick Brewer joined The Ferrets.

ZOOT were crowned Australia’s Best Group in Go-Set in 1969 and had a string of hits, including ‘One Times, Two Times, Three Times, Four’, ‘Monty and Me’, ‘The Freak’, and the band’s blistering cover of The Beatles’ ‘Eleanor Rigby’. Russell Morris’s hits include “Sweet Sweet Love” and “The Real Thing”.

With such an array of stars on stage, expect some exciting surprises in the set list!

Thrash Blast Grind Tour – Australia / New Zealand May 21 – 31, 2020 KING PARROT + EXHUMED (USA)with special guests: KING + THEORIES (USA)

THRASH BLAST GRIND TOUR is back to appease the neverending bloodthirsty hunger of metalheads all over Australia and New Zealand this coming May!

This year sees KING PARROT celebrating their 10th anniversary as a band and what better way to do it than headlining the ever-evolving Thrash Blast Grind tour alongside Exhumed, KING and Theories. Like a pitchfork to the skull King Parrot will tear through your eyes, ears and brain with their well renowned reckless and savage live shows.

It's been a long time coming, but EXHUMED are finally back with their ghastly and gore drenched death metal formula. With their new album ‘Horror’, Exhumed, through their sonic meat grinder continue to churn out the repulsive and splattered chunks of aural carnage they are known for.

Melbourne’s melancholic blackened metal force, KING, bring the spirit of old while carving a new path. Epic while remaining raw, majestic while retaining a primitive atmosphere. Released late last year, the new album COLDEST OF COLD forges black metal of the most monumental scale.

Chopping out their own grisly niche, THEORIES bring an intense and inscrutable sound to the Thrash Blast Grind table. Arising from the USA, this three headed chaos outfit will outstrip the under prepared right from the get go.

Hmmm I might go to the King Parrot and Exhumed show, and possibly Voyager. What's with all these shows in May though? FNM and Maiden playing then reduce the chances I'll go to other shows.
