Not surprised, but I meant April for New Zealand specifically. Today was our first day of only being allowed out to get groceries and petrol, go to the pharmacy or get a bit of exercise (essential workers excepted).

I won't be out and about much to report about whether anyone's not taking it seriously here. I got milk and things from a convenience store today and there were still plenty of people in the suburb walking/cycling - but only with family members, nothing crazy. My parents returned from Melbourne recently and will finish self-isolating from me and everyone by Tuesday, so unless I go to the pharmacy I'll try and leave it to one of them to go out if they don't mind. They're in their 60s but supermarkets are expecting people to use hand sanitiser on entry, and I think I'm severely allergic to it!

Ah New Zealand, yes, good point.

Ahern seems to have a far better grip on this situation than Scott Muppet, I mean Morrison does here in Australia.

NEBULA wasn't posted here before, but they rescheduled to March. I guess that's how optimistic they are about things getting back to normal soon!

Sat 6/3 – Hibbard Sports Club, Port Macquarie
Sun 7/3 – The Landsdowne, Sydney
Wed 10/3 – La La Las, Wollongong
Thu 11/3 – Transit Bar, Canberra
Fri 12/3 – Evelyn Hotel, Melbourne
Sat 13/3 – Atomic Ritual Feat Nebula (USA) at Bendigo Hotel, Collingwood
Sun 14/3 – Smoke Signals Feat Nebula (USA) Adelaide at Enigma Bar, Adelaide

    March is fair.

To be honest I find even the stuff rescheduled to September is a touch optimistic :(

Yeah, I don't reckon we're going to see anything before November at the earliest and even that is iffy.

Perhaps we'll be able to have Australian bands play before they allow foreign bands into the country? If that occurred it could be good for the local industry.

That would be one positive Winmar. I think its certain that local gigs will be the first thing to get the okay. Then gigs for interstate bands and then finally, international.

But until the 14-day-isolation thing is lifted we are not going to get any international bands playing here, and from all reports that is not gonna happen anytime soon.

Looks like most bigger venues (in Sydney) have started rescheduling shows to October November and December which probably means that it will be difficult for local bands to find venues this year (assuming restrictions are lifted in 5 months). Bands should probably be trying to already book gigs now for early next year

The name might suggest a polished and shiny rock 'n' roll bar, but it's actually a dark and dingy dive bar that attracts hipsters and everyone else, hosting the whole spectrum of genres from dance parties, DJs, hip-hop, folk etc. right down to the filthiest extreme metal and hardcore punk. Most of the staff over the years have been in bands, sometimes popping onto the stage and then returning back to work the bar after their set. Best venue in Auckland I reckon, though smokers don't like having to go out up the stairs to smoke in the shopping arcade. It has some good dark corners for non-smokers to hang out in anyway. Hopefully it'll stick around.

SACRED REICH/VIO-LENCE tour that had been re-scheduled to July prior to the covid-19 outbreak, has been pushed back again. Dates TBA.
