I think yeah you can hold off on buying tickets to anything, as who knows what the situation will be then. It's one thing if they refund the money or if you can afford to let them hold your cash for a while, but you probably don't have a lot to gain by buying now. If nothing else you could wait a few months and see how things pan out.

It just occurred to me that with social distancing you only have to fill one in every six seats, and you can sell out an arena (if everyone showed up individually). That's one vacant seat either side, and three vacant seats in front (or behind). Repeat that for every person who shows up. Time for some local bands to sell out some big venues :p

My real thought process was that there may not be many tickets available for Steel Panther because they might not be able to fit many people in nowadays. But on the other hand, how do you justify bringing out the band in the first place (money wise)....

Anyhow I think I'll do what you guys suggest and decide closer to the date. Cheers.

Haha I look forward to seeing local bands fill stadia soon!

I don't think SP would bother coming out unless they could get a normal sized crowd. It wouldn't be worth the journey.

D-A-D tour has been rescheduled to October next year.

I think October next year is a fairly realistic time to reschedule international tours for :p

Brissie Folkmetal legends VALHALORE are doing an 'intimate' acoustic gig at the Brightside here in Fortitude Valley on August 22nd, limited to 70 tickets only.

I'd love to go, and Queensland SEEMS to have covid under control..... but so did NSW and Victoria up to a few weeks ago....

If you feel like going, go. They'll have social distancing like gigs here do. If QLD loses control you might not see more gigs for a while again!

Iron Maidens tour (not to be confused with Iron Maiden's tour LOL) has been re-resceduled to April 2021. I'm even somewhat pesimistic as to the possibility of that:

Going by the number of idiots still being fined in Melbourne for being where they shouldn't you'll be able to sell tickets too that tour. Down here in the East I'm going to cut the grass later but there will be no audience because people appear to be doing the right thing.

I guess this is just the Big Local Band Tours thread for the time being. I noticed that gigs are lined up at Crowbar in Sydney, notably Witchskull from Canberra on 9th October. I saw them back in early March before the guano hit the fan, would recommend.

They've played 3 reduced-capacity shows in Canberra recently, all of which sold out pretty quickly. I'll hopefully manage to get along to one of their shows.

I've only just started listening to Avantasia. You guys can probably guess where...

I think I'm going to regret not being into them sooner and going to that show last year :(

Yeah I would've loved to go see them, but it just wasn't viable. Been a fan of them / Edguy from way back. Sydney Harbour Cruise and Brisbane meet @Lord Tim & @Aussie_Metalchild :D

Avantasia shows were amazing! I went to both - was a life-long dream of mine to see Bob Catley on stage in Australia.

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic we have rescheduled the Tyr/Arkona headline tour to October 2021. All tickets that have been purchased for the 2020 dates remain valid, including for shows where the venue has changed. If you already have a ticket, you don't need to do anything else except show up next year!
If you can't make the new dates, please request your refund through Oztix by 31 October 2020.
We look forward to making this massive tour happen next year, alongside killer supports
    Rumahoy
    and Australian goblins
    Beast Impalor
    .
    Until then!

They played two shows there and one in Canberra, which is great. I'll catch them eventually...
