let's talk about italia for a while what do you think are some of the best italian bands?! i have listened to less than i would like to because many of these old albums are out of print today, but i know this much: stuff like MORTUARY DRAPE, NECROMASS and NECRODEATH is REALLY COOL and usually very original. sometimes a little bit like the old greek bm scene in the sense of melody and occult feel, but not really. Necromass is my favourite of those you mention..their first album has actually just be reissued out vinyl. This is the band with that cool artwork from the Italian artist as well.. forget his name at the moment:

They're not black or death, but THRASH: Hyades and Total Death (mentioned 'em in another thread, too) They're the only Italian bands that I'm aware I am aware of atm
