Like many others here, I started long time ago by practicing my mixing skills with the help of this forum.
Nowadays I´m very proud of my mixing achievements and of course of the whole album that took me and my band almost 5 years of work.

I wanna hear your mixes, approaches, opinions, questions about the production, etc.

    Cheers and stay Metal !

Mate, what have you done with vocals? Completly out from instruments.

Hey Kozi, can you clarify "completely out from instruments"? you mean loud?

Listen to vocals and instruments, timing is out. Check original version or my mix you will hear that in your there is something not ok with vocals. Probably you have moved something etc. Also check 1:22 on your mix like drums are off as well. You need to check your project :)

Thanks for providing these excellent stems and midi track. While I was studying the song, I really grew fond of it. I hope you like my approach to your song. I left the intro out as you did on the album.

I used the Superior Drummer 3 'Death' for Drums with a Preset I found on Youtube (Superior Drummer 3 Yellow Death). I routed the metalworks separated from the drum shells to give them individual treatment.

I had to low pass the guitar DIs on the input to reduce the interference noise. As an amp simulation I used the Fortin Cali Suite feed into a 2x12 V30 + G12T-75 Tube Town Box miked with SM57. I rolled of the low end at 125 Hz. I used a multipressor to even out the 80-290Hz to keep the palm muting on the same level as the riffing. To fill in the hard-pan-gap I added a short plate reverb in mono which is side chained to the main vocal track.

The bass di is feed from a darkglass ultra vst into the Logic Pro X Di Amp. The kick side chain is giving a 6 dB reduction.

The vocals are shaped by the mighty Scheps Omni Channel and an additional noise gate to deal with them bleed.

Overall I used a lot of Soundtoys Decapitator for coloring distortion and iZotope Ozone mostly for dynamic EQ.

    Greetings from a neighbor town,
    Ingo
