I'd love to bang out a toon or too, and for a good cause 2! Maybe I can play "Master of Puppetz" with willing (or unwilling?) participants. I've emailed our beloved Ms. Chickinson and hopefully I can get in on it... Or maybe we in Mother Mercy can do a couple of songs...?
I want to play a Kiss tune. Like Deuce maybe. Gotta get Bill in on that too. Also, I want Reign in Blood by Slayer. I can do a great Kerry King!!

Is this like The Iron Maidens and the other tribute bands doing different covers or just an open jam with people sitting in with the bands? How about some Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Racer X, Jeff Beck, or King's X?
It's an open jam with people sitting in with all kinds of people for instance...doing a TEstament song may be me and Jojo from the Maidens and Bill, and Pat from Creeping Death and maybe a guy from an original band. Kind of like that. It's being able to sit in and play other stuff. If I had my way I won't do Maiden unless no one signs up for vocals...but I would love to play Killers on BASS...we shall see.
I didn't mean that we had to play ALL of those songs. Those songs were just meant as suggestions for material in case people didn't want to play on something on the other list. Example: Do I want to play bass on "Holy Wars"? Shit no! My picking arm would fall off! (And believe me, I've tried!) or Example: Do I want to sing The Lady Wore Black? Well sure, but maybe I'd prefer to sing I Don't Believe In Love since it's more my style. Perhaps we should just take all the song titles and put them to a poll and let people vote on which ones they'd be interested in playing on. Seeing that it's going to be about 7 songs per hour (with people changing positions and whatnot) we can then chose the top 28-35 and make a setlist from that.
I sing kinda a Hetfield-esque variation of The Trooper, not gonna go there unless everyone in attendance is good and schlackered to the point where they can't tell the difference... Drunk 1:"Uh, shay, when'd Chickieson grow a beard?" Drunk 2:"You dum fukk, that int Chickieson, that her hubband Bill!"
Something to keep in mind, the songs have to be easy enough where they can be pulled off by a group of musicians that have never rehearsed it together. So anything too tricky with a lot of time changes or intricacy may not work.
:hotjump: I wanna jam too! I gotta get a look at that list when it's ready!!!! What to playyyy!?!?!!??!!????????????
