nice line up...only a few bands I haven't seen. I am sure Cirith Ungol is the headliner. It seems to be common knowledge but I am sure they can't announce it till after Frost and Fire. That will kill his Euro crowd this fall.
Pretty awesome lineup, but I've seen the vast majority of these bands already via Ragnarokkr. Rag is basically Keep it True of North America these days.
counting the cash...it is just funny how for the longest time they said they would never do it and now since the money is right..here they are
This poster will kill it, just how presented its obvious who it is and it will kill the crowd. Maybe they all already bought their tickets for here, and thats the hope
Frost and Fire is gonna be fine, guys. Even if it "kills" the Euro crowd, the CAN/US/MEX teams will light the place up like Fort Mac.
I would probably do anything to even attend that festival. To play would be the final moment of my life. Like, there is nothing that would top playing on that stage, so I might as well off myself shortly afterwards. Olórin is on the rise, as well as a few other projects. Expect more doom losers.
1,200 people is a big thing to try and pull off for a band that was never a big name. I hope it does well.
Is that really how big this other venue is? Jesus christ... Figured it would be closer to 600 or 700. In any case, I know a lot of people all over North America who already have their tickets so I think it'll do well in the end.
Yeah the Saturday is in a different place, the venue last year probably capped at like 200-250 people I'd guess.
I read last years was just 150 for the venue. This year is 350 for friday and 1200 for sat....still a tall order for 1200...they are headlinging KIT so that will also hurt people traveling in.
Where F&F is holds 1200 people? YEah, there seems to be this misconception that Metal Blade bands from the early 80s sold out arenas.......
I agree that 1200 seems huge, but Cirith Ungol is kind of like Manilla Road in that they've achieved a cult status which makes them more popular now than ever. Also from what I've heard, if they held it at the other place it would have sold out twice over already.
