Ha! I just listened to some Krokus the other day! I only have a couple compilation albums so I cannot help.

Krokus is extremely hit and miss. Headhunter is the only album worth having in my opinion, though others may disagree.

I recall fondly 'Screaming In The Night' from my video days from TV, but some weeks ago I sought for the tune to listen to it again and I found that my memories were different :zombie: . When Warrior recruiter Marc Storace for TWOGAM I thought that could be a good move but I also found it bland and uninspired :(

I guess they're not my cup of tea after all.

Grab their early 80s albums. Headhunter, Screaming in the Night, etc. They're all pretty good.

I saw Krokus as a lesser version of the Scorpions, a mix of hard rock, some pop and some metal. One need only listen to the songs Midnight Maniac or Ballroom Blitz to know where they were coming from. I have their Headhunter album which I found pretty good back then, but somewhat generic when I listen to it now.

Yes. Totally disagree :loco: For me, Krokus are an amazing band, almost like ebery single band that hails from Switzerland (the european Canada in terms of quality metal stuff).

With 34 years career you got ups and downs but I consider the essential trilogy is:

    Headhunter (the best one)
    One vice at time
    Hardware

    Honorable mention:

    Metal rendez-vous
    The Blitz

And I also strongly recommend their last album "Hellraiser", their best one in 20 years.

Cool, thanks Marco, looks like Headhunter is the one to get then.

Their best of is a good one to start with and might be all you need. I would agree that Hellraiser is a very solid effort. I listen to that more than the other one.

Nope, I agree with you completely. Some good songs on other albums, but Headhunter kicks ass! :headbang:

hell yeah! I even made the mistake of buying a patch before hearing their music. Neither the patch or the subsequent album I bought stayed with me for long:lol:

I really like all their albums up until Headhunter. From the Blitz on there may be a song or two that are decent but for the most part its pretty bad. Headhunter is definitely their best.

Who knows if that would have worked out? I guess we'd have to have a crystal ball...

For those that have Headhunter you can clearly pick out Rob Halford's backing vocals throughout the album. He doesn't show up on each track but you can clearly pick out his voice...
